well, it's set in motion... Twisted sounds 1.3k on the way. lot of overhead isn't a bad thing... and these 4 ohm single voice coils are a temp setup anyway.

I think the SPL title is throwing us off a bit. 400 in a DD would be fine for most. I ran 500 in my wifes' last two cars and it was good. Pair of sealed JL 10w1's sealed and now a pair of Incriminator audio 10's ported.

How extensive do you want the box build to be? Fiberglass can save a bunch of that trunk space if you can build a small box into a corner.

Find a pair of used JL Audio slash 300.4 and 500.1 for 350$-400$ ish.

I like the sundown audio option but I'm curious if it's worth the money over the incriminator audio / american bass 18's equal $$. A Death Penalty or a American bass vfl or HD look awsome without paying for a name brand... thoughts?
