    CSCStang (A++)

    I've been completely detached from the car audio hobby for the past year+ due to college and I stay busy / have very little free-time so I somehow forgot about this, but in case he's still active I figured y'all should know about my dealings with CSCStang for sure - you would be very hard...

    Hertz HSK165 active HELP

    http://www.hertzaudiovideo.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Hertz_HiEnergy_HSK165.pdf Bottom left of page. The HV 165 doesn't have its own tech sheet but all the info hertz provides is in that link. BTW I just texted you about something else.

    Well if you wire it directly to the amp + and the ground, it is no different than putting it up front in parallel with the battery, simply because the + and - of each battery are touching the same conductors (the power wire fed into the + input on the amplifier, and the - ground/chassis)

    Yeah I agree with you then. Now I'm remembering the context of the conversation of the sa-15's being under rated. I guess I'm a little biased because my sa-15 has seen over 1kw clamped but it wasn't for very long.

    Pretty sure you just wire the batt in the trunk directly to the sub amp back there. Should be even simpler than installing a batt up front. pos to pos, neg to ground, just like up front so it's in parallel with the other batt. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty positive it would be...

    You selling those HV165XL's any time soon? Haha just figured I'd ask. I'm looking for some

    I'm not sure if you understand this fully or not, but I just have to make sure you know. Sorry if I'm insulting your intelligence. To get a 1 ohm load you will need to get the sub in dual 2 ohm. Parallel will divide impedance of the 2 coils by the number of coils (2) (=1ohm final) and series...

    If you're going to wildly assert that the sa-15 was not meant to take over 600w, you're just going to lose credibility man. Jacob under rated them and it has been discussed ad nauseam. And I missed the post where OP said he was getting 2 FU 750's, if he did say that and that's where the 750x2...

    Not saying you're wrong, but gotgixers put 1400 to them for a while. Maybe that was like nominal or before rise but I doubt it... I put 2000 watts "before rise" to my sa-15 daily and it's been fine for a long time and it's generally considered to be inferior to the fu 750. I'm no expert though

    So much for not giving a woofer more than the manufacture recommends for power. Even you're suggesting that he do that, and in the same thread where you chastised me for it! The fact of the matter is both the SA-15 and the FU 750 can handle up to 1400w rms clamped on some frequencies. I would...

    I took the fact that he has stock electrical into account. He'd be fine with 1.8k. 900 watts or so after imp rise not a whole lot of power for a sub like that man
