bump need help

So i have this design i copied from a thread around here, props to whoever made it, but i wanted to go wit a kerfed port, building it tomorrow. Already cut the front baffle/port, I went with 10 cuts 1/2" apart. But how much length should I add to the port so the tuning stays roughly the same...

I got this JL Audio 12W6v2 for free and I would really like to fix it. I know its blown i dont know exactly wats wrong but if you push down on the cone it squeeks and is stiff. I know there is recone kits for it. If anyone can get me one for cheap let me know please. Thanks

no factory sub and I do have a bose system so I prolly have an amp sum where but im not sure where and where I could tap into the speaker wires so i can hook up the line out converter
