yeah im going to look around to see if anyone makes an adapter for it the heads up display is really cool, im sure i would loose that with any aftermarket unit though

cool, i thought it would be alright, i can always just put an aftermarket one in later, i have just grown really fond of the steering wheel buttons and heads up stuff, i had one more question, what do they usually do for a remote turn on lead seams im not using an after market hu?

alright, i got a new car its a 98 grand prix gtp, its got an 8 speaker factory system with a cd player and all the controls are on the steering wheel and i also have heads up display which shows the station, track number and other stuff and it actauly sounds really good, i have my pioneer cd...

the guy who truck i did had a box with 4 10" hx2s right behind the seat so needless to say there were a few rattles, with a little work i got the box out and the covering on the back of the cab, floor, and sides of the cab, so thats where i put the sound deadening over all it was pretty easy...

oh yeah i know the sub will sound a ton different in the car.....quite a bit louder...the in the house stuff was mostly my 10 yr old kid popping out bc i oculd wait for xmas morning to listent to the sub in the car.

just an update i bought the box, and i got the sub and all my new wiring, now all i have to do is pick out a new car to put it all in....so as soon as i do ill post some pics of the install oh and by the way the L7 12 sounds awesome in the vented box, and its is one of the nicest pre made boxes...

why is everyone so against buying a pre made box? there is no way anyone could build the box i got for the price i paid for it.....

im sure they will sound fine, i only had about 500 watts going to each of mine in a 1.5 cu box and i metered it at 143 db which isnt bad for a daily driving quickly put together system.

what the heck i have vbeeb trying ot say that since this thread started...and the whole time you have been saying that the 1.5 or even 3 cu ft is way way too small and this and that and now your trying to act like you have bene saying that all along...

yeah i compressed the image to make it a smaller file but i think i went a little too far....here ill try again...

if you put an in line fuse that is 20A lower then what your amps max current draw it will blow a quite often bc taking in to account the standard 15 - 17 feet that the power wire is long and if your amp is actually getting say 60 amps then the current draw on the wire will be significantly...

speaking of the manual..i have one too...and you left out the parahgraph before that..."the reccomended compact sealed boxes have the highest power handling of all our reccomended enclusre designs. they deliver massive amounts of high impact bass and can be driven with punishing levels of amp...

a 15" free air sounding the best...no way....and 1.5 cu ft is plenty according to kicker...

6 ft is almost too big it gets close to an infinite baffle so the speaker is almost like being free air....

yes, if it is a dual 4ohm sub then you can get a 2ohm or 8 ohm load
