Okay, BIG or SMALL for an L7 15?

Yeah, I know smaller enclosures allow subwoofers to handle more power mechanically, but thermal power handling remains the same ...
what the heck i have vbeeb trying ot say that since this thread started...and the whole time you have been saying that the 1.5 or even 3 cu ft is way way too small and this and that and now your trying to act like you have bene saying that all along...

exactly...

they give those ultra small box volumes, to satisfy the wittle boys need to go around bumping with a sealed box, with no desire to hear anything resembling accurate basslines.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif it also saves kicker from replacing a million drivers a year when above said boys turn the gain wide open on their big amp, and drive the vc through the backplate...

"I'm not saying they're too small. I'm saying they sound like shit ..."

Whoa, post has turned into a battle. Anyway's I started to built the box for 3.5 cuvbes, mainly cuz I still want to use my trunk for stuff. If I'm not satisfied with the results I', getting I may consider a larger size. I'll be feeding that sub about 1300-1400 watts so it should be enough for some decent poundage.

im sure they will sound fine, i only had about 500 watts going to each of mine in a 1.5 cu box and i metered it at 143 db which isnt bad for a daily driving quickly put together system.
