Does the guitar have a whammy bar? That will knock your strings out every time, you shouldn't use it. Your gonna need to tune the guitar everyday, so I woukdn't worry about changing the keys(where the string wraps around). A new set of strings will need to be tuned and re-tuned as they stretch...

Cars go bad over time and with wear and tear. Both probably caused this problem. Sadly part of having a car is that things break, sometimes allot. It's just par for the course. Not really a preventable problem, there's no starter solenoid maintenance.

The starter is probably a ten year old part. Considering year of the car, the starter was at least built a few months before the car.

Take the car to a auto parts store, have them "load test" the battery. They should do the test for free, takes only a few minutes. Battery can be tested in the car.

Starter solenoid may be bad. Starter could also be bad. Has something to do with the resistance the solenoid builds up after it get worn out. It's very similar to what happens to a electric window motor when it goes bad. Sometime it'll work and sometimes not, the problem will probably get worse...

It's a good amp, I'm running one had no problems. I got mine in one tight *** space with little air space around the amp and runs fine. You need to run the sub channel at 2 ohms to get any real power on your sub. Mine was rated at 975 watts on birth sheet.
