Picking out a new amp for 10" Dayton HO, 2013 WRX hatch. Soundstream?

That's interesting. I bet they all share a common vendor. I do like the case design of the Polk better than the Soundstream and the Precision Power. Since it is going under my passenger seat, I'm still leaning towards the Precision Power due to the price difference. Thanks for the heads up...

Picking out a new amp for 10" Dayton HO, 2013 WRX hatch. Soundstream?

Perfect. I think I will give it a try. I think I just sold my Kenwood for $100, even with disclosing the static, so the upgrade will only be $89.

Picking out a new amp for 10" Dayton HO, 2013 WRX hatch. Soundstream?

That one looks good too. It has pretty much the same specs as the soundstream one I posted, but its black. Black would look nicer in the WRX. I have not looked into underseat boxes much. I have heard that the subaru one *****. Right now I have the Dayton HO in a cheap sealed box in the back...

Picking out a new amp for 10" Dayton HO, 2013 WRX hatch. Soundstream?

After searching for a while on this forum, I have come to the conclusion that there is a ton of amps to choose from and everyone has their favorite brand. I have a 10" Dayton HO, single voice coil, 4 ohm impedance, sealed enclosure. My current amp, a Kenwood Excelon KAC-X812D, has static in...

    Noise Question

Maybe this isn't the place to ask this, but what do you guys think this amp is worth?

    Noise Question

I have a Kenwood Excelon KAC-X812D mono amp from several years ago. For the past 6 years, it was in an Isuzu Rodeo and I had quite a bit of static, especially when the ignition was off or the car was just started. I figured I must be getting some electromagnetic interference in the lines. I...

2013 Pioneers and Parking Brake Bypass

Microbypass it is then. I'll get one on order. Unless, does anyone know how they are built?

2013 Pioneers and Parking Brake Bypass

I am mostly finished installing my AVH-X3500BHS. I built a parking brake bypass from an automotive relay. I used this video as a reference. I have it all powered up but the bypass only seems to work some of the time. It worked the first couple times I powered up the head unit. Last night...

Picking out a double din head unit for WRX

Wholly crap, you do go through a lot of wood. Thanks for posting pics. I wish I had a shop or a garage so I could do some experimenting of my own. For now, I will have to settle for these guys. I hope I can fit the Kenwood under the passenger seat.

Picking out a double din head unit for WRX

Thanks for the heads up on the JL tweeters. My plan is to swap the head unit and get the sub and amp installed, then tackle speakers when it gets a little warmer out. Did you go with the hatch or sedan? Did you find a good place to mount an amp?

Picking out a double din head unit for WRX

Hi Guys, I just picked up a 2013 WRX and the stock audio leaves much to be desired. Its been a few years since I have purchased any new audio equipment. I am looking for a head unit that has good android comparability and is satellite radio ready. I can pass on navigation since I use my...

    Dayton 10" HO

Its getting 533 Watts from this amp: Kenwood Excelon KAC-X812D Mono Subwoofer Amplifiers at Onlinecarstereo.com It's enough to power one of them, maybe two in parallel. I have the gain turned all the way up, but the base control levels are set low. I haven't pushed it very far yet, and I...

    Dayton 10" HO

So I picked up a 10" Dayton HO from parts express for $127. Dayton Audio RSS265HO-4 10" Reference HO Subwoofer 4 Ohm I put it in a sealed .85 ft^3 box. I've been listening to it for a couple days now. It is probably the best sound quality sub I have ever owned. I mostly listen to rock and...
