ramos has a good point i would use the 4 gauge wire and go from there you should be fine with that my friend has a setup similar to yours and he is using 4 gauge wire and he doesnt need a cap. either.. good luck hope your stuff pounds

just check all your connections over again and see if you connected something wrong if that doesnt work take it to a pro and have it tested

they are both single voice coil and are 4 ohm each

i would say for sure cut off the carpet around your sub and silicone is your best bet after that... i also used the rubber rings that come with the sub.. having an air leak ***** !! so make sure to do it right the first time

umm i have a 97 sunfire and a cavalier is virtually the same... the back plastic screws should just pull out use a screw driver of a pair of pliers and give them a little pull the should pop out

i would say if it is your first install ask a friend or someone who has a little experience to help you out... if you dont have one just take it to a pro its not worth f'ing up your stuff... and it doesnt cost that much to install anyways

i say recheck all your conections and make sure that the rca cables aren't near any power sources
