Replacing my 6.5 digital designs components after being very disappointed by them. Didn't get loud enough to keep up with my sub. My $70 jbls got louder and clearer. What ever I get will have about 125 watts going to them (at 4 ohms) what would you guys recommend for under $200. Not looking to...

Does the box being ported also help with venting?

Problem is that it's a downfiring box under the backseat of a truck so i don't think I'll be able to add a spacer

I have a box for 2 8s that measures 5 10/12ths of top mounting depth. I was looking at the soundqubed hds208s that require 5.5" of mounting depth. Is my box deep Enough? If not then I'm just going to go the sundown e8 route.

Head unit is passive only

Looking at replacing my digital designs 6.5 components and wanted to try the ssa evil 6.5 mid and tweeter setup. I have a Kenwood head unit with a 13 band eq and a pioneer 2 channel amp with enough power to run these. Would i have any trouble running these speakers with my current setup?

Do you guys think that under half an inch would be enough to vent.

Thing is about the baffle is it's going to be down firing under the rear seat of my truck. With the baffle it will hit the floor at full excursion.
