The fuses under the hood are fine. I am working on getting to the amp behind the seat. I don't know if it has fuses on it or not. There isn't a lot of info out there about the tacoma jbl systems.

So I just got my 05 double cab tacoma with the jbl system back from the mechanic after a few weeks and the stereo appears to be working, but there is no sound coming out of it no matter what I do. It has a Pioneer AVH-P3200DVD deck in it. I talked with the guy and he said that the battery died...

What type of amp would you recommend for these subs. They are rated for 750 watts RMS and are wired to one set of terminals at 2 ohms. I would like to have them to reach their full potential, while still remaining clear. I would spend a max of like $300 on an amp.

Oh! I see it's just the max or peak power, which yes is BS.

I have this Jensen mono amp. It's a JPA1300M. It puts out 300 watts RMS at 4 ohms and 400 at 2 ohms, but in it's book it has a 3rd value that is listed as Dynamic power and it says 650 watts RMS at 2 ohms. So what is dynamic power?

When you say the subs with less resistance you mean the 2 ohms right. If so it wouldn't be that bad in my case since the 2 ohm sub can handle more than the 4 ohm sub. Like I said before though, I hooked it up and I didn't really like the way it sounded so I'm not going to do it. Also, I've got...

I've listened to some autotek 6.5" I liked them alot nice bass and pretty good highs, I have never listened to the Pioneer's though so I couldn't tell you which is better. autotek has been around for a long time though, and they recently bought MBQuart.

Yeah I took the speakers apart. The voice coils on the 6"X9" were fried. On the tweeter the voice coil was rubbing on the magnet and eventually broke the voice coil.

I have looked at MB Quarts, but wow that's alot of money for some 6.5's. I'd rather not spend over $100. As for dampening, I just ordered 25 sq ft. for my trunk. If it helps then I will add more to the doors and what not.

I listen to alot of Rock from the 70's and 80's like Kiss, Ozzy, Metallica, and so on. I also like to a lot of Rap and Hip hop, and a lot of alternative rock, like System of A Down, Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park.
