if theres a will there a way man. i got it to 32hz with a lil diff box dimensions, and after sub displacement the box woul been 1.75, and tunin up to 35hz wouldnt be bad either.

i meant change it most likely longer, but you'd also have to mess around with the whole box dimensions, and yes i know this but change the length of the second port length. makes a difference.

change the length of the port.. i believe its 12-16square inches of port area per cubic foot, and you have like half that.. and the port area is the area of the hole of the port, not the total volume of the port, so i think a 2in wide port would be a better idea.

about how much box area should one of these have after all displacements? been a lil while since i looked into them, and is there anyway i can just do some math to figure this out?

as long as you get rid of the distorton or clippin from the speaker youll be fine, plenty of people on here over power speakers all the time, theres people that double, or even triple the rated power to their component sets, this however doesnt apply for all speakers, if you know what you are...

if you mean more precise and accurate as the subs cone moving quicker or bein more "tight" then you are wrong. bigger cone will move more air makin it louder. the quality of the sub and enclosure will determine its SQ not size.

indeed it is, and it has already been pretty old. a Fi Q with BP power added should be able to take 200-500rms more than the 1000rms rating, in the words of Fi, so that sub will take 1200rms just fine, and could deff put more on it with proper install, box and tuning. and as far as electrical...

infinitys lack major midbass they sound like PA speakers to me. my understandin though, is that IDs are a very good speaker when it comes to SQ too. you can also look into polk, boston, mb quart, JBL

whats some good sound dampening for a good price? i think i read something a few days ago on here but cant remember in what thread or the name of the brand the dampening was.
