JL might not be all that..

Those subs are decent.Ran a pair in a slot ported approx 1.75 cu.ft.(each sub)..wired in parallel down to 2 ohms.JL subs are good SQ subs .If you are looking for groundpounding bass, you might want to go with a SPL set-up.

    single 10w3v3-4 sub

Are you ever going to run a second 10w3-3-4 or will this be your only one.?For one sub.I think they rate them 500rms now,the first batches of the 10w3-3-4's were 300 rms.I ran 2 of them on a Alpine mrp 650-m--600 rms @ 2 ohms in a vented box @ 1.125 cu.ft.For 1 unit--to be run @ 4 ohms..JL Audio...

I wrote an answer to your question...I posted it to the the thread that reads"600 RMS @ 2 or 1 ohm" I made a mistake.Find the thread you have my opinion...The Alpine M-1000 with the type "R" s wired to 2 ohms ( 2+2 ohm for 2 subs) sound much better than any Brutus amp.Brutus = Loud and...

    SOLD 600rms+ at 1ohm or 2ohms 50.00

I would rather have the Alpine ..PDX..or V power 1000 rms amp @ 2 ohms. The V-power can be had for around $3000.00.That Hifonics 1200 rms is not CEA rated but does come close to putting out rated power. They go for about $199.00 on line all the time. They do get loud though.Sometimes customers...

Friend thinks his system is louder than mine.....help

There is always someone, somewhere, who has something louder, faster, more expensive than someone else. That is why he is worried.I live in San Diego Co.,if you go over to TJ.(Tijuana B.C. Mexico) you will find many high -end Stingray bicycle audio set-ups that will go louder than the starter of this...

SounDigital 4ch D class full range

    I run 2 Alpine PDX amps ...4x150=150 rms @ 2,3,or 4 ohms.The sub amp is PDX 1000.1...1000+ rms @1,2,3,or4 ohm stable.Alpine amps are not 1 ohm stable.They are CEA rated and have a excellent ,clear sound.Very loud,very clean....Pricey,small footprint and stackable.I like them....Alpine50

    Amp Whine

Any good electronics tech usually has a bench at his house.RCA's,connections are not a hard fix.Replacement parts may be found in the DIGI-KEY,or.Mouser,or NEWARK catalogs.A good de-soldering tool and soldering iron and a multimeter and a few tools should take care of your problem. If you know...

    SPS-600 - Alpine Type-S 6-1/2"

I have those sps-600 in an 02' SENTRA.They must be amped to get the most out of them.I have 4 type "S" amped by an Alpine F 450-4 channel anp. The amp produces 70 rms @ 4 ohms ,100 rms @ 2 ohms.Combine that w/2 JL 12w3-3-4 wired for 2 ohms in a vented box with an Alpine 9856 H.U. and a Alpine...

Old Alpine V12 MRV-357 worth getting fixed?

If Alpine will fix that amp to new condition for $60.00 and you like the amp, then,I would definitely do it...I take it that amp is a 5 channel amp?? If it is only a 4 channel amp and you are bridging two of the channels for a sub...$60 is a good price for a good Alpine amp either way...
