i think the general rule of thumb is 5 watts per amp on your alternator um... unless you have a small car like me your probably ok if you have a truck most likely you have a 100amp or better alt. i usually suggest getting an altenator first. if your really going to add just 1 amp...

i have two amps a mtx 2 channel running the subs. and I have a us accoustics 4 by running the boston mids and highs I mounted the amps to the back seat so that I could hide 90% of the wire.

I used a high dollar kit with super nice rca.s and I am still getting a whistle at low vol. I think its only at low vol cause when i turn up the juice that signal is not amplified. SO what can I do to get rid of this sound cause I dont want to have to listen to my music full blast or at 70%...

Is it worth a crap? specs seem to be better than L.A. or Stinger comes with rca's that include the remote turn on wire. less stuff to mess with 24 bucks for 8 gauge kit with 2 sets of rca's for a 4 channel amp. Help let me know. I know its all about the install and wire is a big part of it.
