i got the viper 690xv its great and the guy hooked it up to my old command start so i can start my car with the old command start cause its carburated... your problem with the remote and hitting buttons i heard lots of people complain about this... my 2 way remote came with a clip to put on...

make sure u wire it to your battery not just your ignition power etc... u need like 10 gauge wire from the battery to the head unit... used to happen on my old 7893... with surtain songs when it was pounding cause u could see it dimmer has it thumped.... then i ran a wire from the battery...

One thing i was told by the dude i bought my amp from said i should increase the gauge of my ground wire from the batterey to the body... i dont know how true this is but it makes sense cause you ground the battery to your body and your engine block... and the ground to your body usally isnt...
