What battery should I use

Sorry I'm late. I see people recommending Lithium without knowing your charging voltage.
Also lithium does NOT go under the hood. Period.

I'll help you. I have built and ran a few lithium banks personally and pretty knowledgeable with different cells and chemistries.

1st. What's your alternators cold and hot charging voltage. This is very important with lithium.
2nd. What amplifiers.
3rd. Are you willing to do a battery delete up front?

So charging voltage is between 14.4 - 15.3
Running 3 amps running a 3000 watt taramps for bass 3,000 watt prv for mid range speakers 400 watt for my tweeter and yes I’m willing to do a battery delete up front

Okay so at that voltage that XS power battery would pop. They can not be ran over 14.5 volts. They are 5s .

I checked I should be alright it’ll go up to 15.3 when my battery is really drained but it always stays at 14.4v

Have you made the "Big-3" upgrade? A power bank would probably be the best solution for your system.

No shit they are trying to make money. Did you mention your voltage at 15.3? 5 20ah Toshiba SCiB cells in series 100% SOC is 13.6 volts.

Even XS power tells you the warranty is void if charging over 14.5 volts.

You need sodium at that voltage.


Feel free to actually do some research before you potentially catch your car on fire cause what do I know.

Damn you must of learn from experience yeah bud like I said before my radio showed that my voltage went to 15.3 cause when the bass hit it killed my battery I put the volume down at it just showed 15.3 for a second plus I contacted my vendor for my high output alternator they told me it only charges at 14.4 radio could have been wrong never tested with the meter that’s why I contacted my alternator vender told him my set up and the battery vender so yes I tried to do my homework bud plus that’s why I’m here trying to get good advice on a good battery set up

If you had a 15.5v spike, a lithium will be fine.
