Resonix if you want premium
Siless max 120mil for more cost effective
Siless 3 in 1 good aswell
I personally use siless 120mil pretty much everywhere
Then in some areas I add a layer of the siless 3 in 1 over it
For roof I recently laminated my jeep patriot with half inch mdf using 8x PL
First time using mdf panels for roof
The roof is solid! Always using this method for roof now
What Resonix products would you say is best for door cards? Is the decoupling foam the bestResonix if you want premium

What Is The Best Sound Deadening Material? - Independent Testing Data – ResoNix Sound Solutions
Looking for the best sound deadening material to use in your car? Well, now you can ignore all of the marketing and look at the data.resonixsoundsolutions.com
Always been a Stinger Roadkill guy myself. Used Noico in my last car and did not care for it.
Okay thank you very much for the helpDepends what you are trying to achieve
A decouple foam is just that, a decoupler
It is used to decouple mass loaded vinyl or "MLV" from surfaces that can rattle
It acts like a shock absorber does not deaden sound
To add mass and reduce resonance in a panel you can use a decent cld tile
Then if you want to reduce road noise you can add a layer of resonix "barrier" as full a sheet as possible little to no seams
It is like MLV also has foam on both sides as a decoupler
Deadening properly is a big job so heads up
Okay thank you very much for the help, Do you think it would worth buying resonix’s stage 3 door cards deadening kit for the doors and then buying the rest separately?Depends what you are trying to achieve

Recent observation....I'm not a big fan of noico either
Heard some decent reviews so I figure I'd grab some didn't work out too well, the foil is just too thin and I don't recall it coming in anything thicker than 80mil
Although I do use the "inferior" stuff on non critical parts like more structural stuff metal frame, ribs, beams so I don't waste better stuff, even though probably not needed![]()
Recent observation....
Ie just used amazon basic CLD, I know about the drama Nick is trying to cause vs thickness,
Ive had old stuff & new, its minimal, also depends what size sheets you get...
AB 80mil
NVX 91mil
Most recent project I used NVX silver cld 120 mil. Lots of people from my DD speak highly of it....
Compared the foil layer of the nvx to the AB
foil layer is way more rigid & thicker on the AB .007
vs nvx .004
The nvx foil manipulates like paper vs the thickness & honeycomb characteristic of the AB makes it more rigid
I went ahead & used the NXV, but feel that my initial concerns were verified from the results after laying it on.
Really had to cover panels thoroughly to get the thud results I was looking for & from what I was use to using the AB on 2 other vehicles in the past...
I dont think its just in my head...
The foil layer on the NVX was nothing special, thin & very pliable....
Just didnt give me that warm fuzzy feeling...
Just my observation...
No idea, they / nvx isnt very descriptive breaking down the thickness of the various layers...Does the nvx 91mil and 120mil use the same foil?
