A relative had one of those JVC Kameleon radios if I remember correctly, pretty sure I installed it but can't remember the exact model :ROFLMAO: . It looked nearly identical. Was pretty cool.

I also wonder if I confused the Kameleon by JVC with the Panasonic Ghost screen. They both kind of were blank as the theft deterrent.

Not sure which one it was, but could have been the Panasonic the relative had. Was just thinking about that for some reason. Funny how it is hard to remember simple stuff like that after many years. At any rate, I remember both brands making similar hidden face radios.

Pics I found on ebay just for reference.

Very nice single din pioneer radios. Walmart sells those at $190 dollars they go as high as $290 dollars. Detachable face plate, just pop the face plate out. They may be the specific brand. If it’s an updated version of Pioneer, Walmarts has them. One question on these single din, do you still need to connect the long green parking brake wire to the parking brake switch or steering wheel column? The manual that came with the product don’t give no instructions about any of the info like parking brake wire, so I don’t know if it would make any difference if you did connect it. I’m only interested in these radios to fiddle around with it and try it out myself. Don’t look for any of the sales clerk at Walmart for any assistance. They won’t know. If they do know, luck or just an interest fan, not part of their job.

I miss late night cruising with my 9887 glowing all bright in the dash, you could do several color combos on. There's just too much **** in cars now, in the dash, so much **** just everywhere, and night riding in an older vehicle with a crazy color single din shining in the dash by itself just cruising was the way...just you and the radio and the system and the road
