If it helps your hate grow... sure, let's go with they lied to make Democrats look bad or something.
Kind of funny how the previous claim about DOGE was that they were the golden child, saving our country.
Now they are making BILLION dollar "mistakes".

Sounds like no oversight, and fraud is happening. DOGE is committing it. Taking credit for discovering fraud that was already discovered and investigated years ago.

"The latest government waste touted by billionaire Elon Musk’s cost-cutting Department of Government Efficiency is hundreds of millions of dollars in fraudulent unemployment claims it purportedly uncovered.
One problem: Federal investigators already found what appears to be the same fraud, years earlier and on a far greater scale."
Chavez-DeRemer’s recounting of the alleged fraud, including claims of benefits filed by unborn children, drew laughter in the Cabinet room and a reaction from Trump himself.
“Those numbers are really bad,” he said.
But Chavez-DeRemer needn’t look further than her own department’s Office of the Inspector General to find such fraud had already been reported by the type of federal workers DOGE has demonized.
“They’re trying to spin this narrative of, ‘Oh, government is inefficient and government is stupid and they’re catching these things that the government didn’t catch,’” says Michele Evermore, who worked on unemployment issues at the U.S. Department of Labor during the administration of former President Joe Biden. “They’re finding fraud that was marked as fraud and saying they found out it was fraud.”

Like I said... whatever helps your hate grow.

So "they" found the fraud and allowed it to continue???

Only modern lefties would lose it over the fact that a mistake was made and corrected, which has been commonplace with DOGE. Why the left wants waste and inefficiencies in gov't is beyond me.
There you go with your slippery slope fallacy again: "Since you don't like DOGE's illegal and dishonest tactics, you must WANT the government to be wasteful and inefficient".

I guess I could apply this slippery slope to you, then? "Since you are happy will DOGE's and Trump's illegal activities, you must want the US to become a dictatorship".

Totally logical. Right?

No. DOGE read the report on it, then claimed DOGE found it.
“They’re finding fraud that was marked as fraud and saying they found out it was fraud.”
I guess I could say I shot Dillinger, since I read a story about it happening. Right?

Quite the hasty generalization to say nothing was done about it previously.
How did you reach that conclusion?

It's illegal to think you found some spending that could be cut, but then changed course? Okay. Is it illegal when you pursue alleged fraud, find out it there isn't fraud and drop the case?
