Which bargain basement 15?

I'm looking at the audiopipe Audiopipe TS-PP2 15-D4 and the Rockville W15K5S2.

I can get a set of either one cheap enough to easily get my money back on...so why not 😂

They'll be in a 2cuft sealed (each) on 700w

I'm kinda leaning towards the rockville (I never actually thought I'd say that 😂). It's for my commuter 2000 taurus. So it don't need to hit into the 20's 🙈

Audiopipe is known to be a better brand, but Rockville has been putting out better products. The Audiopipe is a 500w sub, and the Rockville is a 350w sub. Personally, I would lean towards the Audiopipe.

I ended up with a pair of Dayton Audio DCS385-4 that parts-express accepted a low offer on through eBay 😂

Anyone know what kind of response I can expect with 250w in 2cuft per sub?
If you feel like it, keep us posted on how they work out. It's been a long time since I used a sealed 15 like that, but I imagine the in car response should be decent enough. I personally always thought the cheaper older style 15's like that performed pretty well for fairly low power.

I was hunting for some older 15's but the few I found were either in no where near usable condition or asking "collector" prices 😂

The Dayton's were slightly more than 2 I was looking at but I feel like they're a better build quality. I'm not looking to flex the trunk or anything, just some clean low end. Hopefully they'll do alright in 2cuft each 🤔

Got my dayton classics last night. The motor is bigger than the pics on parts-express.com show. They remind me of the old school white rf fosgate 15's
Just seen this post, I'll admit I have notifications off for most stuff and rarely check the forum categories, so must have missed this in the "latest"posts section. But yeah pics can be a little deceiving on actual size sometimes. I thought the American Bass Elite subs were smallish average budget subs just seeing the stock photos until I had a 12" in person, they are not small motors. 15's tend to make even reasonable size motors look small.

And yeah finding old school 15's in decent shape / reasonable price can be tricky / take a long time. Usually when I see the stuff it is way too expensive and you can buy a modern better sub for the same or less brand new, so makes no sense unless you were really adamant about doing a true all old school build.
