Current events discussion

Holy shit. "Negative" does NOT mean "lacking positive qualities" in this discussion. It means a lack of existence.
You're asking me to disprove something that has yet to be proved. That means you are asking me to "disprove a negative".
If I ask you to disprove that there is a ceramic coffee pot orbiting Mars with a cat in it, I'd be asking you to disprove a negative. NO ONE has proved such a thing exists.
You mean like proving that certain people have legally/illegally accessed gov't databases?

So you think the law is not relevant to how things get done, as long as your great lord and savior Trump tells you so?
Sounds like Communism.
Not how I think at all.
Ahhhh, the guy who has been screaming all along that averages are bullshit now wants to use averages to say that prices aren't going up under Trump? IRONIC
AHHH Stop lying Rob.
Gas in NORTH CAROLINA has gone up over 70 cents since Trump took office. That's a 25% jump in 2 weeks. Eggs are the highest they've been in HISTORY. What happened to "lower prices on day one"?
I guess he lost focus and heard about paper straws, huh?
It hasn't.
No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time.”
— U.S. Constitution, Article I, section 9, clause 7

Wait. You are now claiming I'M the one who said bones do not have nerves in them? WOW. Talk about spin and misdirection.
Since it wasn't even part of the conversation, no. I am not claiming that but clearly you needed another excuse to claim you know more about biology than people with degrees in biology. That's fine. Keep on truckin.
What is your point. Nothing said here is untrue.
And I have said as much. But I can certainly repeat what you say here> And you hate that, because your own words burn you every time.
My words are fine dumbass. It's when you speak for me that there is a problem.
"When Congress says yes" to WHAT?
If the money doesn't exist, it's an illegal offer that is being made.
What is the punishment?
They do not get to make an offer, have people accept the offer AND THEN ASK CONGRESS IF THE OFFER CAN BE FULFILLED.
Are you truly this dense, or just doing ANYHTING you can to avoid admitting the fuckup?
I will offer you $1,000,000 to shut the **** up Rob. Oh wait, I don't have $1,000,000 is that an illegal offer????? Oh shit, what is going to happen to me. You know what, just shut up for free.

Show me the legal consequences for making an offer to someone or stop crying about it. Are you mad that for the first time in who knows how long we have a president who wants accountability? What is wrong with you???

I really am tired of you lying all the time Rob then accusing anyone else of not knowing anything. Show me the $.70/25% jump in NC in any two weeks since Trump took office again. See the June of 2022 prices average... who was that Rob? Biden. Now, shut your lying mouth. Liar.

I think we're seeing a couple things. The public in general is used to politicians promising everything and delivering some bare minimum so they can claim they followed through on their promise. OTOH, Trump is doing the opposite, even over reaching at times rather than doing the bare minimum. This is a new and perhaps shocking approach to gov't for our generation of voters.

Additionally, the narrative for the last 4 years has been, Trump bad, Trump fascist, etc. So now anything he does is viewed thru that lens. Trump could save a box of kittens from an oncoming train and they'd accuse of him of animal abuse. IMHO, it's much like the "stolen election" narrative. It wasn't until that didn't work a second time (the 2022 midterms) that that message got put on the back shelf. Personally, I'd like to see the libs stick to their current branding for 4 more years to solidify GOP control of Congress, get rid of some of these liberal judges (why we can't have centrist/unbiased judges is beyond me) and get another conservative in the WH. So far I like JD Vance, but Trump actually hasn't given him a stamp of approval yet; I assume he's going to make JD earn that. I hope 8-12 years of conservative control of gov't can return us to something resembling normalcy.

That's a weird one. This was common practice prior to covid. The docs are just looking for the highest probability of survival since organs are in short supply and iirc, they suppress your immune system to avoid rejection after the transplant, so they kinda want to "max out" your immune system prior to the transplant. I do think the Covid vaccine could be removed from the list given that "everybody" has caught covid at this point and covid has evolved into a light cold.

Wait so those 2 gov't pensions my dad gets are "illegal?" They committed to a lifetime of payments to my father when clearly they could only commit for a fiscal year. And the second retirement was an early retirement offer made by the Clinton administration. Rob the Constitutional scholar strikes again.
What are his pensions for?
Did they offer him the pensions before the funding had been approved by Congress? That would have been an illegal offer.
"No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time.”
— U.S. Constitution, Article I, section 9, clause 7

Are you under the impression that once the funding for his pensions was approved, it has to be approved again every single year?
I know I've posted this before. Regarding washing machine tariffs, there is the leftist media version account of Trump's tariffs. Then there is what industry insiders have to say. The cost of an entry level front load machine has increased from $600 to $650 since 2016 (when I bought my washing machine).

You're leaving off the detail that the prices fluctuate over time. They jumped immediately after Trump enacted the tariffs.
With over 9 million washers sold in 2018 alone, a 10% increase per machine is $540,000,000 in tariffs.

That would lend a whole lot of credence to the economists' numbers of billions in extra costs to the consumer, as a direct result of the tariff. And that doesn't even address all the dryers sold, that had a similar rice increase (with no tariff on them).

That blue line during Trump represent a 7% surge after the tariffs were enacted.

You have no arguments without reasons Rob.
OK, so we'll go with the same reason methodology you chose for anything that happened under Biden.
So now, "It's Trump's fault" since he is POTUS. Prices are going up? "It's Trump's fault".

No, you realized your screw up and true to yourself found some other nonsense to bring up.
My "screwup"? When YOU forgot to capitalize a word, which changes the whole meaning of a sentence? MY "screwup"? No, that one's on you, kid.
So not a statute, federal regulation, constitutional order... So you made a claim that something is illegal but cannot provide anything to prove that? No case law, no consequences? Nothing?
“No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time.”

So you think the COTUS is not a relevant document when it comes to what Supreme Leader demands?

Case references: Cincinnati Soap Co. v. United States, 301 U.S. 308, 321 (1937); Knote v. United States, 95 U.S. 149, 154 (1877); United States v. Price, 116 U.S. 43 (1885); United States v. Realty Co., 163 U.S. 427, 439 (1896); Allen v. Smith, 173 U.S. 389, 393 (1899); Cincinnati Soap Co. v. United States, 301 U.S. 308, 322 (1937); Reeside v. Walker, 52 U.S. (11 How.) 272 (1851);OPM v. Richmond, 496 U.S. 414 (1990).
Man, when you double down on making yourself look dumb, your REALLY hit it hard.

I know this... that is why I said it. Your personal attack on me calling me a communist. Or do you have some spin for that shit too?
You express pro-Communist sentiments here. Go ahead and try to deny it.

Seriously, you have no clue. You are a coffee fetching secretary man with no drive to better your employment. You sit on here trying to educate us like you know all. If this were true you would be using your vast knowledge to earn more money. But you don't because you don't.
Says the guy who took a payout for an "injury" on a government site, and found out the hard way that it wasn't enough to live on until death. So, you get the occasional odd job, until you get another "injury", or have a boss who takes you to task for your poor work ethic.
My retirement is self-funded. I can almost guarantee your retirement will be Social Security.
Oh my... are you changing definitions to fit your argument?!?!?!? Are you admitting there is more than one definition for a given word and that the context of the converfuckingsation matters!!!!!! HOLY JUMPING DOG SHIT!!!!
"Changing definitions"? No. Using the definitions that is appropriate to the context of the sentence the word is contained in.
Remember that time you thought "wheelhouse" meant a part of a boat or ship, when I said a skill was "not in your wheelhouse"?
Yeah, you used the definition not appropriate to the context. Because our language confuses you. It went something like this:
"Let me help you as you have just failed in your attempt to call me stupid. To be in a wheelhouse would mean I am in a shelter on a ship. What YOU should have said is it is not my wheelhouse which would refer to my area of expertise."
I'm starting to think you put in a ton of effort to be wrong here. There's no way someone could fail nonstop for SO long without putting effort into it.

I want you to do a background on each of them and prove they are not qualified so you can prove us all wrong.
Why? That background has already been done. They are fully vetted, trained, certified. Right?
So go ahead and show that info, since you are 100% sure it's done.
Easy.

Because this is an open ******* forum, thread and I will speak when I want to speak. I do not need your permissions for jack shit kid. If you don't like it, I don't give a ****. Hit the ignore button, jump ship and go away or just accept that you don't run anything. Not your home, not your kids, not your ex-wife, not your job and certainly not Granny.
Ahhhh, says the guy who regularly commands me to stop posting in the thread, as if he has some authority. You a funny guy!
Well. good! Enjoy being in the Trump being Trump thread, where snowflakes get triggered when they see posts about Trump being Trump and screwing the pooch regularly. Grab a cola from your caretakers' refrigerator, kick back, and relax.

I know, when all else fails for the left they can always fall back on being grammar Nazis. At least you have that.
When you fail at even trying to be a grammar-Nazi, lol

Speaking of liars, you mentioned this on 31 January 2025. Something along the lines of "I am currently paying in the $2 gallon range". $2.91 is quite the jump from $2.00, huh?

I took a payout? Listen dumbass, if you are in a car accident and it is 100% the other persons fault are you going to get what is owed to you or are you going to refuse a settlement because you are just that kind hearted?
