I think we're seeing a couple things. The public in general is used to politicians promising everything and delivering some bare minimum so they can claim they followed through on their promise. OTOH, Trump is doing the opposite, even over reaching at times rather than doing the bare minimum. This is a new and perhaps shocking approach to gov't for our generation of voters. Additionally, the narrative for the last 4 years has been, Trump bad, Trump fascist, etc. So now anything he does is viewed thru that lens. Trump could save a box of kittens from an oncoming train and they'd accuse of him of animal abuse. IMHO, it's much like the "stolen election" narrative. It wasn't until that didn't work a second time (the 2022 midterms) that that message got put on the back shelf. Personally, I'd like to see the libs stick to their current branding for 4 more years to solidify GOP control of Congress, get rid of some of these liberal judges (why we can't have centrist/unbiased judges is beyond me) and get another conservative in the WH. So far I like JD Vance, but Trump actually hasn't given him a stamp of approval yet; I assume he's going to make JD earn that. I hope 8-12 years of conservative control of gov't can return us to something resembling normalcy.
