More effective for cost

If it’s more cost effective to get a new alt then a 2nd battery is it worth it??
Lmao I found ur post
Depending on the vehicle, a high output alternator may cause noise issues. But IMO a HO alternator is favorable to an extra battery.
Are there other pros in cons between them? Battery takes up extra space and planning, alt requires big 3 I think. I guess what would work better for somone on stock electrical and wanting to support 3k watts (this is the creator of the threads plan), and it’s a taramps so been told voltage drop is important to avoid

To help clarify why an alternator is better, if you are drawing too much power for your alternator to keep the battery charged, then two batteries will put mor of a strain on the alternator because now it's trying to charge 2 batteries, as well as power your system.

I run a 4500 watt system of a stock alt and a GloweVoltage series 1 LifePo4. The GloweVoltage will support systems of up to 8000 watts on a stock alt.

Used to be that the Alt was the go-to but that isn't the case anymore. Grab a GloweVoltage Series 1 or 2, run it parallel with the primary and call it a day.

It's all you'll need to 8K on a stock alt. especially considering what a PITA an alt upgrade can be in newer cars.

Wow, I just read up on the Series3 and it promises castles in the sky. Have you really had no issues with just the Series1 and stock alternator? Dimming lights, hard starts?

Actually, when I went to get mine, the owner challenged me to do a battery delete. I was waiting on a new Bosch AGM for under my hood. so I said what the hey. I went 6 weeks without the primary battery installed and the car and the system didn't even blink - and that was through Nov-Dec.

They deliver on every point they make - highly recommend one to anyone that is considering upgrading their electrical. With an upgraded alt they will support systems in the 10-12K range!

I got the series one because it is a 96AH and far exceeds my needs anyway,

What about that BLM, BMI, or IBM? The circuit that manages the battery health. Do you need one of those or just the Glowe battery?
They are drop in ready to go. I had initially installed a smart isolator which came to find out wasn't even needed. Kept in as it's a 500 amp, already mounted and allows me to disengage from front to back should I need to.

My interest is quite piqued. My last disappointment was from an IOXUS Super Cap. Although that may have been my fault since I mounted it under the tool box with no other protection from the South Texas heat.
