Help w/ 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Crew Cab Sound Overhaul

I'm looking for advice on a good box that will fit two 12" subs under the rear seat with plenty of room for air compression that won't cost an arm and a leg. I'm planning to do a complete audio overhaul (subwoofers & amp, rear door/front door speakers, and dash speakers). Everything I've found online is either super-cheap plywood boxes or super-expensive custom polymer or MDF boxes. I am looking to spend about $2,000 all-in for everything, excluding installation, and I don't need to replace the head unit, since the 21 Chevy comes with the 8" touchscreen display. This isn't a competition build, I just want to get some crisp, deep bass for my daily music. I put two 12's, door speakers and a new head unit in a 2015 Jeep Compass about 7 years ago for around $1,300. Just need some advice on where to look.

Here is an amp and box you can look into. The amp is a PPI amp. They are not as good as the old school ones, but they are much better than a Chinese made amp. These are made in Korea and the price can't be beat. The sub out is rated at 2 ohms, so keep that in mind when getting subs. The box is a decent box that will not break the bank. For your inside speakers and sub choice, there is a lot of personal preference to consider in making those choices.

I appreciate that, I'll have to look into it. 2 ohms is fine, since I'm not going for anything crazy. I'm probably looking at 800w combined RMS between the two subs, so the amp would honestly be perfect, plus it looks thin enough that I could probably stash it behind the rear seat. I just wish there were more options for trucks, seems like you either sacrifice compression space and stash your woofers under the rear bench, or you sacrifice the rear bench (not an option with a kid and two large dogs) and go with whatever size box you want, which defeats the purpose of having a crew cab anyway.

It's actually a large amp. It is an A/B amp for the 4 ch section and digital for the sub. A/B are known to be cleaner sounding. This amp will fit behind the back seat. The best part is, it still mounts to the floor so you don't have to screw into your back wall.

If you want something smaller, PPI has the A1000.5D amp. It's all digital and it's still made in Korea. It's more expensive than the PC1000.5D, because the PC1000.5D is on sale.

Since you drive a 2021 pickup, can we assume that you have some DIY skills? I searched high and low for the right subwoofer box, before I decided to build my own. Found the correct dimensions on the internet, purchased my MDF board, built the box, covered it with speaker carpeting, install the terminals, and purchased some subwoofers. It was a fun project and saved me a lot of money. Good luck with your project.
