2 Nemesis Audio MRs

I have two Nemesis Audio speakers (NA-65MR) and I was wondering if I could place a frequency eliminator that skar sells to cut out those low frequencies, my radio doesn’t have a crossover nor do I have one wired in. Any help would be appreciated!

You should get an amp with a crossover section. You will not get the best out of your speakers and can even damage them with deck power.

So if I keep running them of my aftermarket head unit which only supplies about 50 watts rms it can eventually damage the speakers?

Headunit power is roughly 18w RMS per channel so I do not think your speakers can take damage from that. That said, is the Skar filter a high pass x-over that goes down to 50-80hz?

The head unit will start clipping way before the speakers reach xmax. 100% it can cook the coils.

For clipping I assume you have to run the volume full blast where the power source cannot keep up with the output. I do not think this is OP's reason for wanting to block the lower bass notes.

I assume he has a sub if he wants to block low freqs. Adding an amp would be ideal for settings and keep up with the sub.

This is the “filter” in question I am talking about, it says it’ll cut frequencies from 0-300hz and your right I am mistaken, 55 is my peak, my stereo gives out 20rms

in fact I do, I have 2 kicker subs on a downfire setup (if that’s the correct term) under the rear bench seat, and my front speakers are meant to be loud which is why I bought them but I don’t wanna damage them in any way until I have enough to purchase a amp that’ll have a hpf on it.

Just keep the bass/treble flat on the radio and you should be fine as long as you don't play music excessively loud.

That will work. Only thing is you may hear a gap on the music since they will block up to 300hz. Your subs might go as high as 150hz, so between 150hz and 300hz you may notice the lack of sound.
