HED-X8500BS Pioneer no sound on phobe calls

Pioneer DEH-X8500BS. No audio when using the phone. Bluetooth itself working for music from same phone. I've just transferred this system from another vehicle. Actually to a Safari from an Astro, so the vehicle wiring is the same. One thing during my installation that I couldn't figure out... I am connected through a pair of amps via cables, so no need for the speaker wires that come from the plug on the back of the unit.
However, for some reason on my last setup I had the white wire on the unit (left front speaker +) connected to something. I just can't figure out what!
Is this my problem???
Thanks 😀

Pioneer only outputs phone calls to the front speakers. The stereo has 3 sets of RCA outputs, and you are using 2 amps. Are you sure that you are using the front RCA outputs, and not the rear and sub outputs?

Hi, and thanks a lot for helping me.
Yes I'm sure.
I'm using top two outputs which are front and back.
I have read where it outputs only to the front. What I'm wondering is if because I am using cables for the amps, and not the deck's harness wires, do the front speaker wires need to also be connected somewhere?
On my last seteup, I did have the front positive speaker wire from the deck harness attached somewhere.
I just have no idea where.... now that I've ripped it all apart.
thanks!

Ahh fahh, forget my first answer. You were absolutely correct on the outputs being switched! Thanks a lot for your help. Really appreciated!!!

I had the same issue and it turned out the Bluetooth phone audio wasn’t checked in the settings. Also try unpairing and re-pairing your phone, that fixed mine once.

Had a similar setup, and making that small connection fixed the call audio. My buddy’s shop uses a cloud auto dialer to test calls quickly, and it’s nice—everything routes cleanly and you can tell right away if the audio’s coming through correctly.
