It's relevant in the trial, not when the news reported it. Relevance and censoring, not the same.
You need to look up the definition of censorship. It's relevant to anybody who is following the story.

Besides that your original point is moot. You (many pages ago) brought up the idea of censoring shooter identities because they serve to divide us. As an Asian American, my issues with white racists predate the news commonly identifying them when they go the rampage (by several decades). Additionally, as somebody who does follow the news, a few of the new "white supremist" aren't really "white supremists;" they're "Salad Bar Extremist" (IIRC that's what the FBI/DHS are calling them). See how being informed has helped me identify what these whack jobs really are?

Furthermore, lets look at what has led to the latest backlash against the *****/LGBTQxyz community. Some Dylan Mulvaney videos - she couldn't hurt a fly. Target's Pride displays - that again hurt no one. And a Northface video, where again nobody was hurt. Neoconservatives aren't up in arms about the Aiden/Audrey Hale shooting other than the suppression of the manifesto, which will eventually get released anyway.

So while I don't "need to know" about the shooter's ****** or political identity or even that the shooting took place, it certainly can be relevant information and doesn't seem to have much impact on how divided the nation is.

You think discussing HOW the information that he wants to have controlled, be controlled, is "extreme"?
You DO realize that ideas such as his have far-reaching implications, yes?

It's much like the moron who says "We should just end welfare tomorrow. Tell people to get a job." A statement like that exhibits absolutely NO comprehension of the ramifications of an action.
Thxone wants information to be controlled in some way. That concept has very far-reaching tentacles. Do you disagree?

Since we are conversing, are you going to pony up with the proof of the accusations you made of me, or were you just throwing shit at the wall, hoping it would stick?
What you can't look back and see that you claimed my education was lacking and my school skipped over ww2 because I didn't read mean kampf?...I guess I'm just not pro Hitler propaganda like you buddy 😉

It's good that the neoconservatives are getting in touch with their feelings. They seem to tap into the anger one alot more than the others...

I like that site. Let's do some more

Zero hedge which is often cited here doesn't even get a bias rating:

FoxNews

NPR

Mein Kampf was certainly covered in my HS. I'd say your ww2 education is lacking if it didn't spend a little time on Mein Kampf. Das Kapital should be required reading at some point.

I get being anti immigrant/anti illegal immigrant, but just randomly flying them to assorted "liberal" locations without some sort of planning in place is pretty sh!tty even for Desantis.

I don't read none of those either 🤣

The fact that you think it should be available by request only suggests that the information is in some way controlled by an entity of authority.
What entity do you think should be in control of information regarding a criminal?
If a news agency obtains that information only via a demonstrated need, should that news agency only release it to the viewers/readers who similarly demonstrate a need?
For the viewers who demonstrate the need and get the info, are they allowed to share with family and friends, or should the info also only be shared on a need-to-know basis?

What is your protocol for determining what particular information should be controlled, and what is your protocol for people being able to demonstrate whether they need to know?
Would it be a questionnaire?
Maybe clearance levels based on the type information?
Maybe a "burn after reading", or check the info out like a library book and return it when done?

What's your opinion on jail rosters? Should they be posted publicly, or should the public have to file a special request to know who is incarcerated?
If posted publicly, what information do you think should be allowed on the report?
Three paragraphs. You're an idiot. Show me where I said even one time that I think it should be available through FOIA only. Just one time you nitwit. Now, stfu.

Nope my ww2 education was just fine fine...what about mein kampf makes it so important? Other than it being hitler's manifesto...

Incorrect. I'm not going to keep repeating myself since you and Rob keep drawing conclusions instead of just reading what I wrote and taking it for what it is.

‘“The non-human intelligence phenomenon is real. We are not alone,” Grey said. “Retrievals of this kind are not limited to the United States. This is a global phenomenon, and yet a global solution continues to elude us.”’

Really? There are lots of manifestos, Mein Kampf lead to ww2. It's about the mood of the nation, how legitimate grievances can be used to incite violence, nationalism, scape goating, cultism, etc, etc, etc.

I take for what it is, but if you're going to say censorship isn't censorship or that it's the ID'ing of specific groups in mass shootings that is leading to divisiveness in the US, yeah I'm call BS.
