Watch the votes counts...R's vote for gun control when they're outside the election cycle...there's no real difference between the parties anymore...
If Rs were voting for gun control when out of the election cycle then why don't we have gun control? Why can't we do the bare minimum and let ATF computerized gun records or close the background check loophole? That's 1/3rd of the house + the dems, even a GOP super majority would have a hard time stopping gun control legislation.

No I wasn't. I was talking about convicting someone with proof not feelings. Not once did I care to talk about Trump.
That may explain it. We’ve all been discussing the decision the jury reached in the Trump ****** abuse case. That particular case regarded an accusation of **** by E Jean Carrol against Trump.
It’s not unreasonable for anyone to assume that you were also talking about the Trump case when you bring up your feelings about how the court system works while we are all talking about that particular case.
BTW- The court process was the same for his case as others.
A **** case.
And they didn’t discuss proof beyond a reasonable doubt with you as a juror? That’s kind of unusual. Either the judge, or the prosecuting attorney, or the defense attorney should absolutely have brought that up. It’s kind of a big deal when it comes to a jury making a decision.
It is actually.

You were talking about Trump after you couldn't discount my opinions. It's fine.
No, I wasn’t. Go back however many pages it takes, and you’ll see that we were talking about the Trump trial all along.

Why wasn't all these problems prevalent in the '80s when I was a kid?...there was an astronomical number of guns in circulation and easier access to purchasing...
Purchasing was easier? How so? I can to a major gun show about once a month and buy whatever I want no questions asked, no background check, no ID, no registration.....

Go try that and see how it works...the "gunshow loophole" is the most overhyped thing in the entirety of the gun debate...sellers fall into one of two categories either private sellers (someone selling personal property) or business sellers...there are different regulations for each kind of sale in every jurisdiction...and the sell (whether private or business) must follow that law...any deviation is from that law is violation of administrative code whether it's a civil infraction to felony...it's not a loophole if one or both parties are in violation of the law...

Not reasonable to assume since I was speaking about myself. What I would or would not do. When our conversation started we didn't even touch on the Trump case. If you decided to make it a topic or your topic later in the discussion that was on you.

Sure you were.

Maybe we should be looking at the media for "glorifying" shooters by putting their name up in lights and the increase in tech in our daily lives...there have been countless studies showing the harm social media has on developing minds...but yet it's the fault of an inanimate object...
The vaccine was also inanimate, yet according to many has killed astronomical numbers, perhaps more than gun violence on a per annum basis. Computers & phones are inanimate.

We should regulate the intrawebz. I do in my house. But let's make sure we're not regulating firearms.

There are plenty of regulations on firearms...the problem is there is no regulation that will stop bad people from doing bad things...this isn't an issue of the implement used...it's a broad issue that nobody will tackle...mental health, breakdown of societal norms, isolation from being plugged in all the time, lack of nuture for children...there's so much at play but everyone thinks it's the gun that at fault and further restricting access will fix it...it's like throwing paint on a crumbling house and calling it fixed...

England has extremely strict gum laws...they had to start restricting knife possession because bad people do bad things

It clearly is a loophole since I can sell my privately owned firearms to anybody with no background check. That person could even be one of the illegals crossing the border right now, so they don’t even need to be a citizen whose rights are protected by the 2A.

I'm more concerned about kids without their Glocks at school. I have combat training, so I'm good to go.

It's odd, all of my fellow patriots are armed to teeth, yet they are so rarely there to protect when the time comes.
My first thought with the recent Texas shooting was “where were all the armed citizens who could shoot back?”
