As I said, I have one account. If you can't PROVE I have more than one, shut your pie hole. We don't care for your lefty conspiracy theories.
Conspiracy theory? No, just pointing out funny coincidences.

Back to gas prices:
Do you think it’s a lie that Federal land leases are obtained by private companies bidding auction-style, thereby setting the price on the lease?
Do you think it’s a lie that permits are granted after a lease is obtained?
Do you think it’s a lie that US businesses can buy oil from non-US suppliers?
Do you think it’s a lie that the price of foreign oil affects US gas prices?

All questions are relevant to the discussion.

To the last two questions.

Yes and No.

To the other questions... I am still educating myself. I am currently speaking with a close friend at RelaDyne.

Do you REALLY think it’s a lie that US businesses can buy oil from foreign producers?

And, time out. You can’t answer the first few questions, but are willing to argue that you are correct about how gas prices come to be?

Are you serious, or joking?

Wait huh.... Yes, they CAN buy from foreign suppliers... No I don't think it's a lie about the oil prices. I am kinda busy. I am getting you inside information.

Its never too late to learn, but it’s a little late to start learning about the things you are claiming, no?
You should know and understand before you try to fight the fight. ‘Cuz when you are wrong and scream you are right, it REALLY looks foolish.

Ok, let's have a conversation.

US oil companies buy and import oil to refine because it is less expensive to do so. - I agree.

The US Government owns the lands they lease. - Would you agree?

To lease something means you are paying money to use that thing. - Agree?

Who sets the lease prices for Government Lands?

So we agree on #1.

#2 is not so cut and dry. When something is leased, the lessor gives their rights to the lessees. A good example would be if I lease a car, the dealer can't show up a year later and demand the car back if I have 3 year lease. They can't prevent me from installing a subwoofer. A better example would be when Biden tried to unilaterally stop drilling on leased lands and the courts stepped and said "No Mr Biden, these folks have legal lease and permit to drill, go fvck yourself." In essence, the lessee is the owner of the land until the lease is up at which time control of the land reverts to the lessor/gov't.

#3 & 4: Specifically, the Dept of Interior charges 12.5% of the value of the oil & gas drilled.

Agreed. Too many people reach a conclusion and try to back fill in the facts and end up looking rather foolish. IMHO too many people don't even take the just few moments to consider if what they're saying is even in the realm of possibility - like the folks who think there is a world wide conspiracy to inflate covid deaths and hide vaccine deaths. Like the folks that think Biden is responsible for inflation when inflation is happening on a global level. If you just put your thinking cap on for all of 30 seconds, it's pretty clear that neither of none of those things are within the realm of possibility.

Or like the two of you just assuming nobody knows anything and they are always wrong. Nah, you all don't just jump to that way of thinking at all . Or the fact that people are way overly naive and think the government can do no wrong, aren't greedy criminals and have our best interest in mind. 👌

You are making an assumption about how I think. And your assumption has no logic behind it.
I don’t assume all people know nothing, but I’m not afraid to point out when someone is wrong.
If someone is wrong a whole lot and continuously insists they are right but can’t prove it in any way, then I may certainly begin to assume they know nothing.
It is a logical assumption, no?

I think if you search real hard, you’ll NEVER find a post where I claimed government “can do no wrong, aren't greedy criminals and have our best interest in mind.”
If you can find where I said that, I’ll mail you fifty dollars.

Has your oil industry friend confirmed what the API and many other sources say but you denied about permits, land leases, OPEC, gas pricing?
