Hu I have a 99 g20 and my stock speakers are blown and need to be replaced. I'm looking at some speakers around 200$. I have a jvc kd-x370bts head unit and a JL 300/4 amp already.

Speakers I'm leaning towards right now.
Polk DB coaxial

Been hearing good things about CDT and they are having a sale on some speakers
COM-626CR Front Rear Package.

Open to other options, Im looking for good bass I listen to mostly hip hop but a little of everything else too.
Thanks

If I get that CDT set I should just run one channel from my amp to eash for 75watts rms each or bridge it for the fronts and run the rears off the head unit?

Sorry have lot of q's I also have a set of image dynamics components in my g35 I can use bc I don't like the setup in that car and want to redo it but won't be driving that car for at least a year. They just didn't have any midbass but don't think install was good. I don't know the model but have a picture of anyone knows what they are and if they are good with more deadening?

Did you cut out the back of that weather seal cup? If not I would.

And more deadening would help as would a foam ring on the front of the speaker to seal the speaker to the door skin

Those are Image Dynamics CTX65cs later changed to ID65cs. That passive crossover isn't what they come with so not sure what is up with that install.

Came in the car never removed them so the cup could be enclosing it which would effect the bass right? Should I use those and just get a pair of midbass for the rear? Any recommendations for good 6.5 midbass for the rear that are decent prices? Should I still use that crossover or get a new one?
If I reuse those I can spend more on deadening

Or should I get theses for the front and midbass focused speakers for the rear deck?
The HD set would be really nice up front..for the Price.. That Package deal is sure hard to beat!! I like all the CDT speakers I have. If you have an amplifier for either Polks DB or MM or CDT speakers.. Either work Great. Off Reg HU/Radio Power? The Polk DB do really well for drop inns. Run the amp on all 4 CDT speakers and just tune to your liking, No need to Bridge the amplifier to two Channels. All Channels should be stable to 2ohms stereo or 4 ohms each on majority 4 ch amplifiers and 2 ch amplifiers. I am just happy to hear that you are putting an amplifier on your speakers.Deff worth it

Couldnt tell you what Model those are without seeing the Backside. ID speakers are really nice. I sure hate seeing the Xovers in the door panels. They are more exposed to Moisture and also Heat from being behind the door panels.Rusting and corrosion set in with the moisture and could fail.Better under the seats or under the dash to get some air and also to access the tweeter DB settings

I would use those speakers up front. Check them with a DMM to see if the Ohm value is still within limitations, If so.. Use them. They look fine and if they are good.. Use them. I would recommend not to use that Foam Baffle when you install those in the other vehicle. Id use the Plastic ones(much better than the Muffled Foam ones)and use an 1/8" drill bit and drill a small hole in the rear bottom for drainage. Use what you have. Put those Xovers under the seats or Zip Tie them under the dash to get some air and have access to tweeter settings

Will try and pull them out tomorrow and check the resistance on them. If good I just need speakers for the rear any good recommendations for good bass? Do u guys recommend those silicone baffles to replace the foam cups and will get a set of fast rings and some sound deadening.

For the rears?? You dont need much for that surround sound affect. Maybe just like 20-40 watts RMS? You can buy whatever you want really and put in there. The American Bass would work just fine. CT Sounds has a few.. Parts Express has those Pyle 6.5s,if you want Mids pretty cheap... Id deff use those ID speakers if they read good up front. get those powered up, and tune the rears down to blend in.I myself like the Surround Sound effect in a vehicle.

I myself do use these and have used these along with the foam ones. I get better vocal response with these and they dont sound Muddy and disoriented

Rear Doors or? Rear Deck? Id have to look the vehicle up. You could do a single 12 or heavy ported 10 in the trunk on 700-1500 rms for some bass?
