The inflation we are experiencing is due to exiting from EXISTING recession. Inflation always occurs when exiting recession.
If you don’t want this inflation, then you don’t want to exit from recession.

It doesn’t always occur just because of a recession. It occurs because the policy is to print money during a recession. Stop short thinking the process. I don’t really want to start an argument with you on this one, because you’re on the right track as to why inflation happens, but recession isn’t what causes it. It’s the response to recession that causes it. As necessary as increasing the money supply is during a recessive economic trend, it can also backfire. One could allow drilling, open pipelines and sell our own oil to help recover the economy instead of just spending, spending, spending. What the current administration is doing is no different than if I quit my job and just spent all my savings like it would just somehow replenish itself. Only the government is using us as its savings account.

Oil companies are not going to do more drilling. Said that before many times not when they are making record profits. That keystone pipeline benefited no one except China. All that oil comes from Canada so they are getting the money. Oil refineries until they go up from the 50-60% they are at will not help the gas prices idk what is so hard about all of this to understand. People are also dumb enough to believe that the EPA is the reason more oil refineries haven't been built since the last one in Elwood, IL by Mobil Oil as well and that is nowhere near close to the truth. More refineries equals more output, more gas on the market which equals lower prices and less profit for the oil companies. Doesn't take a person with a degree from MIT to figure this all out, all of this is common sense.

I never said “only because of recession” but it always happens coming out of recession.
Thx is mad about inflation, but if it trails a departure from recession, then it indicates forward movement of the economy.
It’s like the pain you experience as the numbness from frost op wears off. It SUCKS, but it’s better than the alternative.
