That’s not the point. I’m not saying Biden is an “anti-war” president, but as a democrat, that’s what I am. Democrats are only anti war until they get elected. I’m not sure how many decades of proof it actually takes to convince people who are anti war that this is the case.
The federal government does control oil though to a point. They can restrict permits or open it up and ruin the entire countryside. Are you an environmental voter? How exactly do you think presidents actually help the environment when they get into office if they can’t restrict drilling and mining that destroys land and air? Jesus Christ man. Half the GD democrat party votes for democrats because they say exactly that in their campaigns. That they will “go after” big oil. For fvcks sake man. Are you even a democrat?
We haven’t had a congressional declaration of war since probably Vietnam. The question you’re asking is much more complicated. Prior to 2001 it was much harder for a president to do any of this without congressional approval. I did always believe that democrats were better on war than Republican, but they must really be weak. We vote democrats into office to stop a war, and you’re asking me about who’s worse at starting wars? I think that’s obvious and evades the point.
That’s not how it works Bobby. There are many permits along the way from the surveying process to actually drilling for oil. It’s very naive to think it’s as simple as get a permit and drill. Why would oil companies not drill for oil? Do they not want to make a profit? They can drill now and store it for later, you know that right. If it’s so easy then the environment is fvcked and democrats perpetuated it. I ask you again. Are you not an environment aware voter? Why do you vote for democrats if I may ask?
