How exactly is Biden “standing up to Putin” Bobby? I’d love to hear this BS. Was it when the mayor of Moscow gave his family millions of dollars? Was it when Russia was building up forces on the Ukrainian border for months? Was it when he sent Kamala to Europe to give cringey speeches?

Sanctions. When you hit them in the pocketbook, it hurts them.
A good alternative to sending troops to war. Unless we WANT WWIII, which is what a lot of people are saying (angrily) that Biden will get us into.

Those sanctions aren’t going to work though. It’s world economics. There are numerous European countries that get 100% of their oil and gas from Russia. Many others get 80 or 60%. Russia is a petro economy. High gas prices are helpng Russia. America had no control over the supply and demand for gas in Europe. What sector of the Russian economy do our sanctions target? This is also a proxy war. Other countries are involved in funding Russias war effort also. I just don’t see sanctions doing anything to stop a war. Im sure your moral core feels warm and fuzzy though.

Sanctions are preventative. They can stop a war from starting, but are almost useless to stop a war that’s already been funded ahead of time. Do we really think Russia is just a bunch of dumb oafs with no plan?

You guys can have your little gas argument. US production has gone up under every president since Bush. It drops every time we elect a new president of any party, then starts rising again. Stupid argument to get into in the first place honestly. I illustrated why the sanctions won’t work in the first place. How much of Europe should we send in to the third world by refusing to bus Russian oil? Russia is a petroleum economy. That’s what funds their war machine. Which specific sanctions has the US done that you think will work? this is basically a Cold War again, only now Russia has more leverage today than the Soviet’s had in the 80s..

The Republicans will act like we should’ve done something ahead of time, but it takes months of planing and getting your corrupt military contractors over there to build installations to do what republicans say “should have been done”. Trump literally sat and visited with Zelensky and still didn’t realize how close the threat was. We have an idiot like Trump go and negotiate with a Russian KGB agent, then elect a potato as president who sends Kamala over there to speak to foreign leaders. Our news people in Kyiv are about to get shelled and blown out of there. We seriously need to get a team over there to negotiate getting them out soon. These people think Russia uses the “blitzkrieg” strategy, which is German. Russia is an Artillery first army. They will blow the crap out of a city from a distance then send in conscripts to die first ahead of trained military. The news agencies portray the fact that they didn’t sack Kyiv in 2 days as a failure, but Russia could hit Ukraine from inside Russian territory. I’m actually surprised they haven’t used more cruise missiles and large artillery yet. There might be a doubt in Putins mind that if he uses the big stuff Biden may actually have his hand forced. Biden is not all that stable. Sometimes it’s the weak looking guy who breaks your face when you poke him too hard. The lack of a large missile attack is odd to me. Russia has a lot of big weapons that are not Nuclear. It’s impossible for us to know what’s going on behind the scenes. Seems we are all conspiracy theorists after all……..

Why didn't Trump set things up properly? HE was the one in charge of the process. HE wrote up all the orders and plans. HE should have made sure it was all finished by the time Biden took office. It was HIS problem, not Biden's.
