Not going to apologize when I said they shut down and so did a worker who has been down there for 30 years at this point at his refinery. They were back working and producing just fine after a few days. I remember when that happened the prices went higher for a week or so then dropped again around here as soon as production came back online.

I edited it right away and said they were shut down wtf else do you want? Facts are they didn't shut down due to the equipment they shut down for people's safety NOTHING MORE. The equipment can run in those conditions seen it myself. Doesn't matter if its 100+ out or -20 out the equipment works through all those temps they are built for it. Texas roads are not used to that so for people's safety they told workers to stay home till they got the roads cleaned up a little bit and it was safe for them to drive.

That wasn't for that long". I'll trust people who actually work down there and said the same bloody things to me a little while ago.

They shut down a small portion for turn-a-rounds and they spread it out over several weeks. And if one blows up obviously or a part of it catches fire or god forbid a hurricane in the gulf. Stuff like what happened in Texas isn't exactly common talk about a once in a lifetime kinda thing.
