cost of gas

Who is refusing to sell you gas, electricity, oil, propane, or other sources of energy?

The lockdowns and the branching effects resulting are causing supply shortages in all of those, and it's only going to get worse. Part of COVID lockdowns is using the disruptions in the supply lines to enforce Green New Deal type ideas. COVID lockdowns have nothing to do with a virus.

Note when oil and gasoline prices began to rise. That rise started in May 2020. Between the first week of May 2020 and the last week of December 2020, oil prices had tripled. Was President Trump to blame for this?

No, the reason oil and gasoline prices rose is that the economy started to open back up from the Covid-19 shutdowns. Those shutdowns had negatively impacted a couple of million barrels of U.S. oil supplies, and those supplies were slow to bounce back once the economy opened back up. That’s why we have soaring oil and gasoline prices.

Keep in mind that the entire world has experienced this. Do people honestly believe that cancellation of the Keystone XL pipeline drove up gasoline prices in Tokyo? Further, this price rise has taken place across most commodities. We have seen soaring lumber prices, base metals prices, cotton, oats, sugar — all primarily associated with the Covid-19 impacts on the economy.

Still have no idea how much gas cost and I do not give a f*ck
Because your powerchair doesn't run on gas or because you're so old you only drive a few miles a week? Seriously, there's a difference between caring about the price of gas and knowing the price of gas. It's like beer: I'm going to buy it regardless of cost, but I still see the price when I buy it. The biggest difference is beer doesn't have billboards along the highway. Are you trying to sound like a badass because your vision is fading to a point where you can't see price tags and signs? The only way you could buy gas without seeing the price is to keep your eyes closed the entire time you fill up.
The expected cost per barrel is $100+. The highest since 2014. This means heating a home this winter could be very expensive.
Hopefully USO shares will be worth something again. I tried to put myself in a win-win by investing in oil.

@Buck looks like you have a superfan/stalker! You must be doing something right!

I literally pull up to the pump, stick my card in and pump the gas.
Once I realized knowing the price affected nothing, I stopped looking. Besides, they have TV to watch on the pump…

I also can only tell you the price of ONE grocery I buy: coffee. The always have the same sale sign: two bags for $11. Not a sale.

A clear sign that you don't "earn" your money and you are overpaid.
