Help identifying parts

As title says i need help identifying these parts. Im cleaning and painting the engine bay and would like to know if theyre ok to disconnect without anything spilling out of them.

Hard to tell from that one picture. Maybe if you zoom out to see what it is connected to will help to identify it. Also you may try to Google Lens it.

Looks like a rusty Campbell’s soup can with no label.

Old Ford? That is the vacuum canister(coffee can). The other is a filter for the smog pump IIRC. I did a smog pump delete and pulled it off.

I think thats what it is possibly .. Looks like a Vacuum canister. Get on line and Google that vehicle engine bay schematic, and see what you can find out. You might be able to replace it with a Mason Jar. with aluminum lid. Last longer

it has a hole in the top so maybe some kind of EGR or EVAP something.
