Help identifying parts

As title says i need help identifying these parts. Im cleaning and painting the engine bay and would like to know if theyre ok to disconnect without anything spilling out of them.

Old Ford? That is the vacuum canister(coffee can). The other is a filter for the smog pump IIRC. I did a smog pump delete and pulled it off.
I think thats what it is possibly .. Looks like a Vacuum canister. Get on line and Google that vehicle engine bay schematic, and see what you can find out. You might be able to replace it with a Mason Jar. with aluminum lid. Last longer
