Ok so I built an exact box to the ported box specs of the manual 2.25cuft , port tuned to 32hz , but it sounds like ***, worse than a box I built for the sx what would you guys recommend box size for like 30-32 hz tuning I like em low

Internal dimensions 40cmX40cmX53.5cm 2.25cuft of just the sub area excluding port and sub displacement
Port 5cmX40cmX82cm tuned to 32hz

I also rounded as much as I could port wise

I built a 2.25cuft the exact litres of the manual and tuning to the manual and it doesn’t sound As good as it did in a generic box I have but , I feel it can def be better as I had the sx which is rated at 400 rms and nearly half the Xmax excursion ,in my car before which sounded a hella lot better than the ti currently does

I'm thinking the SQ enclosure is aimed for lower power, lower volume, low end bass.

I would go the SPL 1.75cu.ft

Okay am I seeing things wrong here but I see the port but no opening inside the box to let the air flow through the port? I mean something looks off here with those pictures.

The box doesn’t look bad I don’t think. Are you sure your problem isn’t with the amp, wiring, or head unit settings?

Offhand the enclosure itself looks fine, is it a more capable sub on the same power?
Sounds like azz? or just not as much output as you expected?
Check phase, HU settings etc.
You do have a quality signal going to the amp correct... not some cheapo Loc on a factory radio?

If the sub is a 12", then your port looks to be 14" wide instead of 12". Manual says 2"x12".
