I think that you have may have miscalculated your port size. I did a quick calculation and got 38hz instead of 32
Yes I increased the width of the port opening to match the front panel so I could use the side wall and then lengthened it to match the tuningIf the sub is a 12", then your port looks to be 14" wide instead of 12". Manual says 2"x12".
There’s the box in the car still have enough space to build a bigger one running a 1200rms amp off it at 1 ohm
The lengthening to 25.5" is advised for a 32hz tune, but not the widening. If you widen the port then you must also shorten it to keep the 24 square inch opening, along with the 25.5" length. But this may also give an udesired result regarding port velocity. You could just stick lengths of wood in one side to acheive the port dimensions. You could do the inside leg in two pieces for easy insertion.T
