LOL baseball used to be my life. I know for a fact I know tons more about the game then most out there. I don’t come here to talk baseball either. I come here to talk car audio and the occasional off topic thread. I save my baseball talk for people who have devoted their lives to playing and coaching. The only reason I chose not to coach is to have a family life.

Thanks to that friend I got to know a lot of the up & coming Cardinals players. Daric Barton was another guy I kept in contact with for a few years when he was in the league. That buddy of mine has lived a good life in sports was even the Asst Trainer on the USA Mens Soccer teams for a few years and traveled the world because of them. Now he works free-lance but spends most of his time at the Elite High School IMG Academy working with their students. He has even got to hang out with Dicky Vitale as well having breakfast with him a few times. He actually moved to Sarasota because when he visited me he loved the area so much he wanted to live there full time and work from there once he was done with MLB. He can have a job right now in the MLB probably Triple-A or even at the MLB level if he really wanted to but having a wife and what not he chooses not to.

I've played a game or a thousand in my day. Multiple teammates and Coaches made it to the show. One of my teammates in 12 year old All-Stars was the AL rookie of the year for the Twins. I did about everything possible as an amateur hitting and pitching. Wasted my arm (the first time) when I was 12. It got my College paid for (Tennessee in the SEC). I've talked baseball with Cliff. My Tennessee Vols are headed to the College World Series. I'm still in the record books there. The last time that I was there they had the box score of a game that I pitched hanging up in the clubhouse (no-no). Love talking baseball. There is a lot of great players these days. I would have a hard time picking between Acuna, Tatis, or Ohtani for the next ten years.
Acuna
Trout
Ohtani
Tatis
Guerrero Jr.
Devers
Bichette
Buehler
Glasnow
Baez
Betts
Bryant
Tim Anderson (for @Coolhand20th)

Bro you're in pretty much every thread in the dome but baseball is off limits? Seems weird but ok.

Not gonna argue, because everyone has their own opinions, but what is that list of players? Best in the game today?

Baseball isn’t off limits for me. I’m just not big on talking sports much here. I also like sport conversations in person because you can actually gauge who is full of shit and who’s not if that makes sense? Not calling anyone out.

I’m honestly over the MLB corporate heads knowing about steroids, sign stealing, sticky stuff etc. and waiting until it’s too late to play damage control. They act oblivious but full well know what is going on. It’s all about ratings and money which is fine but don’t play dumb. I am actually on the pitchers side. They keep changing the baseball in hitters favor so I would do the same. Have you seen the baseballs now? Laces are a joke. With thst said, some have taken it too far but I have no issue with pine tar or sunscreen being used.

Going to a baseball game is great if you want to drink beer eat a giant hot dog and take the best naps ever.

although I caught a few innings of the women’s college World Series at the gym the other day and god damn those women are getting hot.

I hated the steroid era and do not think those players should be allowed into the HOF. I'm okay with sign stealing if it's done the old fashioned way and not electronically. The reason MLB is cracking down on pitchers using substances is because it's become so abundant and obvious and I'm glad they have.

Yeah nothing like spending $100 on beer at a baseball game. 🙄 You go to the game to watch the game and met and interact with other fans. A few years ago I went to the last game of the season between the Braves and the Phillies. Winner went to the playoffs. Great game and it was packed. Sitting right beside me was a Philly fan, about my age, and his girlfriend. We had a great time! Even had to stop a fight when the Braves lost and everyone noticed he had a Philly jersey on. Going to baseball games is a great experience. I love it. Way better than going to football games imo.

The last game I went to was a Devil Rays game... Air Conditioned stadium and drafts were 2 for $5 and a hot dog was like $3. They couldn't give away the tickets even for a Yankees match up.

Yeah they're $10 now. I take my own food. I only go to night games. And tickets are cheap compared to other sporting events. You can get nice seats behind the dugout for less than $100.
