Went to my bank at 15 after 6pm today to make a cash deposit of some monies I had laying around. I pull up to the drive up ATM and attempt to make my deposit, twice. Both times it said it couldn't read my bills. It has done this before so I pulled around the corner to use the walk up ATM. I insert my bills, it does its thing where it counts the bills but then it opened up the door and said to insert up to 30 bills.
I knew right away that it wasn't good. The ATM ate my money. It didn't even acknowledge that I put money into it. I called customer service because the bank was closed and they put me through to the fraud department. I was on hold for 22 minutes. This lady tells me she submitted my issue and told me they should have it corrected by 10am... if they didn't I am to call them back and it could take up to 10 business days to get my deposit. She said that sometimes the ATM is full and in that case it will put the money into a holding compartment.
This is odd to me as my brain say if it is full then give it back to me. Nope, this ATM didn't give notice that it was full, that it received my money or deposited it into my account. Nothing I can do but wait till morning.
