Hello! I am looking into getting my first sub and amp setup. I am thinking about getting a 15 inch skar sub with 600W RMS and 1200W max at 1 ohm and an amp with 800W RMS and 1200W max at 1 ohm. I have never had a setup before and don't know how loud this will be or if it will be enough. I mainly listen to rap and don't need anything insane, just want something to get some nice bass and something that will rattle the trunk a little. Would this be a good setup? Any recommendations?

I appreciate all the positive feedback! I've now added another possible combination into the mix. Between the Skar SDR15 with the Skar RP800.1 or a Skar SVR12 and a Skar RP1200.1, any recommendations or insights? Once again, I'm totally new to this so any feedback is great!

any feedback is great
Now that you said hatchback, I know it will sound solid. Even a nice 8" sub sounds good in a hatchback, most settle for a 10" with zero complaints. Now, a 15" in said car will drown out your front stage, which you have heard those cars on the road, all boom no voice. In this case I vote on the 12" setup.
