I'm interested in more details. My hobby is to run car audio amps from the 90's in my home. I currently use pc power supplies and have had great success with them especially after replacing the fans with noctua. the limitation is that I can't really run anything more than 1000 watts due to limitations of commercial pc power supplies. If I ever wanted to run one of these newer amps with thousands of watts, I can't do it.Hey guys, I know this is a bit old. But I thought this might benefit some of you greatly ... this is my set up right now( yea, it's messy, but it's a work in progress right now)... it's running at 12.8vdc @ 240 amps. We have figured out a solution to get it up to 15vdc, just don't have pics of it yet. And it won't set you back that much...(for what it is)...I will have it all tidy and neat in it's own case and all the details worked out in the next month or less. And this will only set you back about $200-250 TOPS .... Not alot for 240 amps of power ....and adjustable voltage 11.9 - 15vdc
And you can parallel two of these for right at 500amps of test bench power ....
I can post up all the details so you can make one yourself if there is any interest ....
I am NOT trying to sell these. Just want to make sure that is clear .....
Just trying to help out other audio heads like myself with a fairly cheap solution to this issue, that you can put together yourself.
