what happens if a ported box is to small?
Can I adjust port size to tune it properly?
How much leeway is there?
I know somethings Aren't set in stone im just wondering how small is to small?
i mean I see prefab truck boxes ported all the time. is this ok for a subwoofer with a small enough mounting depth?

He asked about porting small boxes or specifically porting truck boxes.
What better thread to look at than what you guys just did with a truck box?
Some people might have taken it as a compliment

Port size has more potential variance than people realize IMO, it depends on the overall setup.

Too small of a box will hurt low end frequency production, typically. Just depends on how small.

You can make a port whatever you want it to. I've done 3.5 in^2 per cube to 20 in^2 per cube on ported boxes.

Usually you want to run what fits, don't try to stuff something that doesn't fit.

I'm just trying to put a cheap sub with the right amount of power to get some "bang" for my buck. I think I might just run a single 4ohm 12 in a ported box 1.3cuft with what I'm assuming is 300w rms (2000w crunch amp)
