There's many things messed with our country. Many things need to change. Like the fact our dollar isn't backed by anything, and products would be cheaper if we had more manufacturing in the US. I would pay more if I was supporting my fellow American, hell yes. But those costs are based on a broken system anyways.

So, why throw all that minutia in there? Zero illegal immigrants, but all prices are raised 25%, yes or no?

I say yes. It will all balance out. Just like minimum wage increases. If the lower level jobs start paying 25% more for American labor, the next tier up will have to increase pay as well, or there will be no incentive for people to put in the effort, so they will leave and take the lower level job for the same pay. It'll take a while to balance, but it will eventually. At that point you are paying the same percent as you are now for products based on your pay increase, unemployment is reduced, minimum wage workers still struggle with increased prices, and I remain in the same class bracket. I say go for it.

At some point we have to realize that corruption could possibly still be the problem, not the actual way our government operates. We rely on government more and more to solve big problems as a natural evolution of society, in my opinion. Which is why little elements of socialism, starting with the pony express, evolved into our laws. We have tons of socialism in America to be a modern society in the first place. I’m also for having a strong element of capitalism and financial freedom, property rights, etc. What we have, is a military industrial complex, using up most of our money, and a corrupt government who has regulated our economy in the favor of industries of their choosing, companies of their choosing. I don’t think a more democratic socialism style of governing or a more capitalism style of governing can work with what we have going on in Washington. We’ve all known how corrupt it’s been our whole lives. Our government has been the but of jokes since I’ve been alive. At some point it becomes unsustainable. Does Rome ring a bell?

So, you are willing to pay 25% more for all of your consumer goods? From housing to produce?

I am actually for getting rid of a lot of socialist programs in our country, including social security. I believe that we do need some form of welfare for the severely disabled, and some Healthcare for the elderly. However, these programs need to be much more heavily regulated as they are currently being incredibly abused. I also believe we need to reform our entire prison system. Many people purposely keep themselves in prison because of the free meals and housing. I believe murderers and people who receive 25 years or life sentences, should be executed. I also believe there should be a 3 strike rule for lower offenders. For the smaller sentences, they should be sent to a work camp where they work 8 hour days manufacturing goods that contribute to society. That way they earn those meals and housing.

As far as military complex, unfortunately very little of the budget you see goes to the actual military. The majority goes to military contractors that charge $5,000 for a light bulb (I personally saw this actually happen). And the reason is because of all of the regulation and certifications required to sell to the military. These need to be reformed as well to bring military spending down and at the same time use that budget where it is actually needed.

Everything in America is supply and demand. If there are 150 people who want a job, and you only need 20, you have to pay whatever the minimum wage is. If there are 10 people who want the job, and you need 20, your pay has to raise to tempt in more people. The numbers are obviously in the millions on a large level, but pay for labor is based on supply and demand just like competitive pricing in anything works.

About everything you just mentioned can’t happen due to corruption. Private prisons are a corrupt disaster. The way government contracts are used in all industries is corrupted, even beyond the military contracts.
