New to here 25 years in audio out there

Unless that sub and box are more secure than I suspect they are, the mounting location could turn a simple head-on fender bender with someone into a fatal accident. I had a system in a xcab RAM, someone pulled out in front of me, I head-on'd into a parked car to avoid. My (properly built and braced) enclosure broke in half and shifted into my front seats, and broke the rear seat mounts in the process. And that was without the extra 150 lbs of subs being installed yet. It probably would have killed me if it had happened a week later and the subs were installed.

Not hating, just saying keep that in mind. Id hate to see a fellow enthusiast get hurt.

Good call their my fellow audiophile. Box is secured with high strength strapping to the rear seat clip/bars that are there for the same reason to with the back seats. But he's right fellas. Good bass ain't worth dieing over.
Thanks for looking out too homie. How come the rest of you didn't care if I lived or died.

Work responsibilities took over today for a half day. But I did get a good start
Heres some teasers.
Anybody have any advice. Advice welcome.
Really liking this sound deadening. The humps they stamp into it helps it to conform to the curves nice . This is new shit to me. Used to have to remate all the deep curves becase it would split.
Ima finish it tomorrow
Going to use the old runs from the front to charge battery bank. All amp runs are to and from battery bank.
Sadly I don't have enough sound deadening to do the roof and rear doors. Tomorrow I plan to do the deap rear floor, the rear of the cab, the rear pillers, run the wire from amp to bank, create bung for wire runs through existing rear vent hole, install wire for bank, ect. So wish me luck alot to do in a day.

P.s
I'm using cardboard In between the battery's in the bank to help secure them, provide rub protection as, and provid some extra room to expand. They most definitely will to some extent. While building the enclosure i took this extra space into account.

Dude it's called "Mat 66" its on Amazon right now for like 50 bucks for 36SQ feet. Its good shit too.
I'm literally using my fingers and the back of a screwdriver. Tip..... if you have a blow torch handy. A light flaming can make it mold alot beter. Especially in the colder seasons.

Oh heres a good one. Anyone seen the freaking vents they put in the back of the cab. They are huge. While deleting the driverside vent I created a pice of flashing using the sound deadening. Made it 1 inch bigger then the opening and flipped it to the metal side out and stuck the bottom on the bottom outside lip and flex taped the rest to the inside. Its literally flashed. Then to seal the hole I took 3 pieces of cardboard and wood glued them together. The wood glue will give them rigidity, and the 2 layers of sound deadening will completely seal the opening. Was wondering why my box sounded like shit rear firing. 🤯

Nothing better then running out of the wire to finish things up. Was short 20 feet lmao. For now I ran a ground and a hot from bank unfused, as well as old runs from the front for charge. All hooked into the old battery. At least I'll have bass for the next few days. Ordering more wire, and sound deadening. Rear is done and sealed.
Don't hate on the wire its very temporary.
First few runs and I have stable voltage. I'm sure this will be way better once the b.s battory is gone and the amps feeding directly off the bank.
Enjoy...

Thats exactly what this is. I do alot of driving. And not having good bass I's just not a option. This setup allows me to get crazy loud bass in the truck and only loose one rear seat in the proses. However I am looking to purchase a second zv5 and another ia40.1 soooooooo. If that happens 2 more batterys will be purchased as well. Its coming i know it. By the way the 40.1 is right at the cusp of what this zv will do long term playing. Around 4900 watts im feeding her
Certain songs get her there faster then others.
Definitely no need for any clipping here or want too. lol

Probably a little late but if you don't plan to buy more deadener you'd have done better to just space out what you have evenly leaving some bare spaces. Deadening is one of those things were just a bit gives you a big improvement and then you quickly hit very diminishing returns going for 100% coverage and/or multiple layers.

Looking good though. I envy you guys who can work outside all year.

I guess low 30s is work outside weather. I do it for a living so f the cold.. Thats why I'm raving about this product. I installed this stuff in the low 40s and it still formed to fit extremely well. I have used everything from dynomat to fatmat, and few chinesium products. Out of all of it this stuffs price/quality warrants 100% coverage. I even overlapped. I also wanted to have the 100% seal as well. If I show up to a show I want to be able to have good pressure holding.
P.s theirs another zv5 15 d2 in the works.
Anybody have experience running 40.1s on a half ohm.
Seeing as the ***** don't clip damn near maxed out im assuming this is possible.
And oh shit heres a better question for someone who might know.
Drum roll
You know I could be crazy but a second amp and sub would allow me to run at 2 ohms. What is recommended running master/slave 40.1s.
Or could I also run at half down to a .25 each.
Let's hear from. Some high power sub homes.
Yes I know how crazy the amp draw can be.
But is it possible?

Here's a snap of the deadening.
I highly recommend this stuff.......
