That's shorts and flip flops weather.I guess low 30s is work outside weather.
I've seen a lot of those in the lanes being wired down into low impedance. AFAIK they also do well at high voltage, but keep in mind even 1 ohm is very tough on semiconductors so if having to send that amp out for a repair would ruin your life you may want to play it safe. I'd chance it with IA 10, 20, or 40.1 amps.Anybody have experience running 40.1s on a half ohm.
Dropping down to 1/4 ohm is very hit or miss and IMO should only be considered for 3 second tone burp applications and even then you may break an amp or you may run into protect issues. A forum member who lives local to me always wires down as low as he can for competition and as often as not 1/4 ohm will go into protect too quickly and wind up with a worse score than 1 ohm.
If your goal is to play music you shouldn't be concerning yourself with this and if your goal is number chasing you've got an uphill battle in a pickup truck in any org that meters windows/doors sealed, but if that's what you're after you must buy an SPL meter and if you really want to live dangerously with low impedance games you may consider investing in Dayton DATS so you can see impedance graph of your subs in box in the vehicle.
