This is why I think the dems are purposely disingenuous on high taxes helping the poor. They know better, but they use the politics of anger to get votes. Unless you have price controls, higher taxes doesn’t help a single poor person. Taxes are a necessary evil in A modern economy, but it isn’t a way to help poor working people.

The primary difference between neocons and progressives is that while they all claim to be for the working class, the neocons think they know better than the people what the people want and craft tax provisions that leave the ultra-rich alone... despite likely never being poor in their entire life and being criminally out of touch from only ever talking to other rich people and lobbyists throughout their entire day.

True, although it can be argued we've tried freemarket capitalism to negative effects. Rockefeller had an equivalent 200+billion and he did it with no other means than freemarket capitalism. Many of the same programs FDR, Teddy Roosevelt and LBJ created are still here and protecting consumers, but it's hard to say we went purely to that side of things since healthcare is still so far behind in this country it should make all of us angry, how we're allowed to be cash cows for something we have no choice but to pay for or lose our life. Sometimes against our will if we pass out and end up in an ambulance.

If libertarians could get behind progressives on healthcare then we'd be in agreeance about the most important issue facing America. The cost is the primary deterrent I've heard from them, but it costs us far more in the private sector.

The people who think they know better are the ones ignoring the will of the people. Poll after poll shows medicare for all is wanted by most voters. Democrats over 80%, republicans gravitating around 50% It was more in 2018, it's at around 48% in recent polls. A lot of it has to do with how the question is asked. Everyone likes the term 'single payer healthcare.' Popular policies should get passed in a democracy. Unfortunately the 2-party system short-circuits our representation prospects and most people don't vote in the primaries when they should.

Ask democratic leadership though and you'll get scoffs and half-measures like reducing the medicare age to 55.. Hell, Hillary wanted to reduce it to 50, so they've gone backwards. Biden said if it came to his desk he'd veto it.

No it is NOT Illegal to request the money up front. That is LAW here in this State! You get an estimate then you pay it and whatever is not spent to do the recount you get said money back. They have tried before and those lawsuits have failed.

So believe what you want the Laws of the State of Wisconsin say otherwise.

WRONG! In the State of Wisconsin the CANDIDATE PAYS when it is under a Certain %! What PART OF WISCONSIN LAW DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND! And this time since it is OVER THAT PERCENTAGE Trump's Campaign MUST PAY! IF it is UNDER 0.25% then the State Pays but it is WELL OVER 1% meaning TRUMP PAYS! Just like in 2016 with Jill Stein and just like ANY OTHER Election where there has been a RECOUNT in Wisconsin.

Not that hard to figure out that it is over 0.25% but obviously you can't understand LAWS in the State of Wisconsin. It is NOT ILLEGAL as EVERY STATE gets to choose said Voting Laws with regards to Recounts.
