All taxes. I own a business, and all my taxes are worked into my prices. That’s when I discovered that the dems bs idea that high taxes help the poor dawned on me.

A small business is nothing like a multinational billion dollar business. Flat taxes on businesses is simply bad for small business, it should be graduated. If nothing else that will allow small businesses to compete, competition is good, no?

Another problem is all these huge multi billion dollar companies..not small business like yourself...that get around paying no tax or get a tax rebate for millions of dollars. Or they put it in another country where tax laws are better for their business even though they are a US based company.

Close the loopholes.

Small business takes a beating on taxes vs the huge companies that spend millions on lobbying to get their way or laws to their advantage.

It doesn’t matter how much you tax a multinational business, they can avoid as many taxes as they want. Hell, I take stupid amounts of write offs that I can’t believe are legal.

Close the loopholes...period. There is no reason for a company like GE, Exxon, Amazon and so on to get away with paying little to no taxes or getting rebates. I am just using those as an example. There are tons more that do this.

Fiscal conservatives have been duped by this thought that once they make it big they'll want to benefit from the policies they've voted for their whole life or that some how it will be hypocritical if they don't start now. What's wrong with voting in your own best interests in the here and now? Rich people do all the time. The majority of republicans are poor and yet they do nothing for them. If they cared about their liberties they'd vote libertarian, so why do they instead go with Republicans?

That would work in many ways. But you would have the Rich go ape shit crazy over it. You would see all the GOP and Dem millionaires vote no on it to protect their wealth,lol.

The rich do not care about high taxes. When our marginal tax rate was 90% in the 50s, literally zero people paid that rate. It’s so easy to manipulate profits, losses, expenditures and debts.

Yep I know I took several years of Accounting in High School and in College from 1990-1994 then in College from 1994-1998. It is beyond too easy to do it.

This is why I think the dems are purposely disingenuous on high taxes helping the poor. They know better, but they use the politics of anger to get votes. Unless you have price controls, higher taxes doesn’t help a single poor person. Taxes are a necessary evil in A modern economy, but it isn’t a way to help poor working people.
