Same board as Shocker SA4KD "Shocker 4K" and a couple others sold mostly in Europe heatsink on this one has no logo. Shocker Mike told me he got these from the factory as samples for the other heatsink design (his production run was the more squared one like Atomic/Cactus/etc. use). Amp makes about 9K @ 1 ohm 14.4V and is capable of 18V for a good bit more. For reference, in direct swap testing this gains 1.8dB over Sundown NS1.

I bought two of these broken on the cheap and planned to run both. Someone was running them 18V and .17 ohm in dB Drag which apparently makes a shitload of power but tends to break things. This one fixed up fine and I've been using it for a bit over a year now in the Jeep at .7 nominal with no issues, the other one never got back up from repair and the shop I used can't figure out what's wrong. Really I wanted something about this size I could get a pair of and this has to go so I can into something I can double up. I've got a trade-in offer from a local shop which I'll probably take but I figured I'll offer it up here first for a little more in case anybody can use it.

1000$ + actual cost of shipping. These amps are 1250$ + shipping new from Korea and that's if you want to order 50. If anybody is serious I can take some current videos of it playing.

18v at .17 ohm? Is that an unreliable amp or user error?
Both. Beyond 5K, I'd consider any of the big Korean half bridge amps to be risky, the one possible exception being Sundown NS-1 which has proven to be quite solid.

That said, I've had good luck with the one I bought working and the other one we had repaired. The Shocker branded one still lives in my brother's car and hasn't had any issues. This working one with the plain heatsink is FS by The Amp Lab and in their possession now. I've traded it to them for store credit towards something else.

I can't run anything like that. It would be nice though. I would actually like to run two Xmaxx 15's on an MD8K. So, in my little bug, is 150 possible with a single 15? I'm trying to find a tuner and meter. Fi and Down4Sound are both in Vegas, but I'm just an old bass head. I think my box is probably tuned too low for a 150. I'm old, so, I honestly don't understand all of that stuff.

It would take a lot of effort to get there on 3000W but you probably could if you cared to put in the time and testing. Tougher still if you have an amp that you probably don't want to wire impedance down into the dirt.

If you have time for some reading, browse through this;
Fella down in central America lays out all the stuff he did to gain. Everything he did won't necessarily gain for you but he was very thorough in testing absolutely everything. Well worth the time to read if you're interested in what it takes to see impressive numbers.

I think with my box tuned to 32 hz. that there is no way that I could reach 150 on 3K. The box is right a 3.97 cubes after port and speaker displacement. I'm guessing that the 32hz. tuning on the box holds me back. Oh well, my **** hits hard with no rattling. Thanks @shredder2 . Every fukking thing is sound deadened. I should film reactions, not videos.

Sealed at the dash you might be lucky to pull out 145 tuned so low, perhaps approaching 147 if you optimized everything you could picking up tenths here and there testing all the stuff mentioned in that thread I linked you.

Really with the space you have in that little car I'd think you could do better with a single 12 or pair of 10s for numbers just because you'd have so much more flexibility for modding and moving around the box. Alternately I've seen single 18" flat wall in Bug done by a guy who I know has a few world finals builds under his belt so I'd say if you wanted to go all out loud single 18 or 21" in a flat wall would probably be the ticket there.

I did not see a notification and never on this laptop, open it up and finally seen it. assuming it is gone or since the amplab couldnt figure it out they didnt want it? ill send you a PM just incase. thank you

A team Fi guy played with it for a couple of minutes and got 143.8 with the meter on the windshield on music. The doors were open if that matters. It sounds good anyway.

Most vehicles gain with door/window open but you would probably gain some burping the exact tone where you peak so I'd say my 145 guess is about spot on. Still though, if it sounds good it is good.

I suspect AmpLab still has the broken one. I can ask them Monday if you want this for parts or to try to fix. Pretty sure they have the working one on their website The working one didn't give me any trouble and they do 90 day warranty on trade in amps they sell.

Don't get me wrong I've built a few boxes myself and I love doing it and it would've been preferred. But I now live in a one bed room apartment...

I would face the port and sub back. Even if you got a soft top, the rear gate will serve as a loading wall. I looked at the specs for the 10w6v3...

Just trim strands until it fits. Then put some heat shrink or electrical tape on it.
