Agm to Lithium conversion?

Never mind. I’m just gonna replace my front batt with a superbank. Thanks for your help dude. I woulda never knew about superbanks if it wasn’t for you. Kudos.

I thought capacitors aren’t the way to go? I thought capacitors were a waste of money? What do you mean 1 or 2 banks of caps. I’m confused. I have 2 119ah agm batteries. Can I just run one and be fine? Because one of the batteries is old and only charges to 12.69 and has dropped to 12.61 in 2 weeks. So I’m thinking of getting rid of it. Idk. What should I do and can you explain the whole cap thing to me? I’m not a noob but I’m not an expert. I know a little something but still need help.
Nah, I’m gonna keep my front battery because if a cap sits to long it won’t crank my car. I’m gonna have my guy wire it up for me in the back
it'll have no trouble starting your car. The whole point of ultra caps is to eliminate the batteries altogether and rely on alt power.

Maxwell ultracaps are much cheaper if you want to save money there. The convenience of the packaged option from XS is definitely convenient though. 1 bank might be enough, if you alternator puts out as much power as it says and does around 200a at idle hot

You need an excess of caps at that point. Having batteries along with caps doesn't hurt anything, it's just a waste of weight, money, and space when you have a ton of capacitance.

Question from the cheap seats here... is there a formula or does anyone have advice regarding the # of cap banks that'll work in my instance? I will be keeping my Agm's (210ah) for awhile and have a 250A Ces. I'm getting as much as +300A draw I'd assume (up to 3500w clamped wired down to .5 but usually right around or just over 3K clamped).
I'm considering trying a bank (or 2?) just to see if it'll help with burps. Would one bank be enough and how do I determine up front how many I'll likely need?

I am always looking for #'s but now that my Fi is for Spl only, I've got the Platinum 18 for daily... and I do enjoy changing to a lower tuning and playing a few songs at a time, even stinking it up and pounding the poor thing.
What would be the pro's and cons for lithium vs supercaps with with my goals in mind?

Thanks in advance for any guidance

General rule of thumb is 2-3kw per bank.

@Jeffdachef Thank you for the advice. You were the first person to coach me and help on this site and it was wrong of me to blank on you a later date after that. I do apologize for talking “s” to you and I hope we can move past that. Much love!

So if I’m running a 390 alternator and a regular batt up front and one 119ah agm batt in the back on 5000 rms before rise would one superbank 500farad be enough? Right now I’m running just the regular batt up front and 2 119ah agm batteries in the back and one is old and I wanna do something about it.

Should be able to remove the bad battery and add a bank of caps and be a-ok. What's your voltage drop like now?
